So many interesting details, especially on Louis' bracelet, Lestat's ring, and Gabriella's style!
"The Vampire Lestat" costume designer, Lex Wood, breaks down Lestat's rockstar style, Louis's wardrobe and the season's Claudia Easter eggs.
SO many interesting details, anon! I love that Lex is using silk so much to tie Lestat back to the 1700s, and weaving some of Gabi's masculinity through the cut of her coats is really interesting too (that line about seeing her through Lestat's eyes feels really pointed too, which has me 👀). I love that detail about Louis' kill bracelet, but also him being a billionaire (is that the first time we've had that officially confirmed? I think people suspected from Regina ranking him among the wealthiest people in the world from 3.04, but I don't know if it's ever actually been said), and the way he's trying to dress like a normal person in front of Regina.
I'm really fascinated by her saying that Daniel hasn't come into money the way other characters have though given technically Louis wired him $10m at the end of s2. That's smaller scale than the rest of them, of course (other than Regina), but it kind of makes me wonder if that money's gone already. Whether he might have sent a chunk of it to his daughters in an effort to buy their love back, or if he had debts, or if Louis may have sued at some point and Daniel lost it in legal fees. It may have just been a slip on Lex's part, but you wouldn't think so given it's such a pointed part of the finale.

I need you to incorporate it somehow in your work. NEED.
!! Hahaha, I'm actually just reading this interview now! So many fun details in it, and this bit did make me giggle and scratch the creative part of my brain, so I think it'll probably end up in something, haha ;-)

SAM REID as LESTAT DE LIONCOURT The Vampire Lestat (2022–)
She had shut her mind off to me for some time then. And so I was left to revisit old haunts, desperate for connection. "Claudia, come home. I know I hurt you. I know I can make it right again."

i am confused about the daniel "using aggressively" the student and armand making him forget, i interpreted it as SA but then a lot of people on twitter are saying that it's not... but then why would armand make the boy forget if it wasn't?
It definitely read to me at the very least as sexual coercion, anon, if not outright sexual assault, which speaks to him with the girl and the paper bag in 2.05. He gets off on abusing his power over others, and how that manifests as sexual degradation and exploitation is intrinsically a part of his character, given the girl was before that night in ‘73 (although it’s interesting to consider how that week in San Francisco might have compounded and further warped that part of his personality).
Him using sexually denigrating language with both Armand and Lestat is tied up in all of that too, but interestingly it’s kind of an inversion - he verbally degrades them to shield the fact that he has no power over them, versus how he’s wielded his power in the past to sexually exploit others.
I know everyone’s focused on the other parts of Big Bad Wolf (which I’m obsessed with), but Lestat relitigating that pleated skirt they bought for Claudia is genuinely very funny.
