that type of eridian grace waking up in erid’s hodgepodge blip a (put together in a rush, since they’re the planet running out of time in this AU). finding a huge luxury cruiser version of the hail mary with a single 50-something year old mechanic inside. a lonely, desperate man who has been stranded for almost 20 years trying to save his planet.

the eridian grace that earns his name as rocky’s flashlight illuminates his beautiful iridescent earth-colored body, blues and greens and golds, rocky’s “saving grace”. he is the smartest being rocky’s ever met and soon the bravest, too.

would he end up with a discolored limb from where rocky’s skin burnt off around him, carrying him to safety?

would he remember that despite the emphasis on the collective, on relationships and love and belonging, he never met someone who he could let truly *know* him? not like this. not like rocky does.

would he ever learn that his new best friend, this tall leaky stubborn man, prayed everyday that his grace would come to save him?

i think that he would take very good care of that old engineer. he would want so badly to take him home and ask him to leave his family on earth behind. he would know he’s being selfish, though, and swallow his pride as they said their goodbyes.

there wouldn’t be a moment of hesitation when grace realizes he needs to turn back to save rocky’s life. he’s prepared to spend the remainder of his life dying in the handsome human’s big strong arms.

They drop it quickly and are just both like ‘WHATTHEFUCKWHHATTHE FUCKWHATTHEFUCK!’ internally when the bomb goes off and everything’s kick started.

Optimus very pointedly does not mention to anyone that he and Megatron fused! He is trying to repress and ignore it and not read in to what that means cause those fusions are so rare he thought they are myth and nope he’s just going to not think about it…which is made very hard by the fact that fusing means the 2 who fused can see each other’s memories so yeah he’s dealing with that.

He thinks he’s doing a great job repressing everything…

Until Blitzwing and Bumblebee fuse while fighting…this time cause everyone’s there EVERYONE FREAKS OUT.

And well after that happens and Bee is freaking out and Sari has SO MANY questions. Well Optimus accidentally let’s slip

Optimus: Oh you saw that on Kaon to?

Optimus:…oh fuck

They fused again and well memories shared and now Lugnut and Blitzwing know…and kind of moved in with them apparently Lugnut needs to protect Lord Megatron’s intended and Optimus is dying of embarrassment and trying to pretend this isn’t happening.

Then Megatron comes back and things are…awkward. Both Megatron and Optimus are very pointedly NOT bringing it up and NOT thinking about it and would very much just like to fight each other but they’re pretty sure if they do that something will happen again.

All the others are just watching these two being ridiculous and placing bets and how long till fuse again.

The two do end up fusing, a few times…ok a lot. Not that they ever admit it.

Then the elite guard show up and the two are fused. No-one recognises them and since fusion is so rare they know they’re fused and a fusion of an Autobot and Decepticon (one red one blue eye kind of give it away) but no idea who… Magnus suspects Megatron not from the look as much as the fact he was almost blown up as soon as the other saw him.

Bulkhead: Wow your fusion really went all out at Ultra Magnus did Megatron take over completely for a bit

Optimus *awkwardly coughing* ah yeah yes that’s what happened

Megatron*looking very smug*

Blitzwing and Bee who know that is definingly not how fusions work but not sure if they should call him on it.

That was awkward two fused by accident and well Blurr saw a lot of memories that required a lot of explanation.

Couple of Project Hail Mary doodles!!

The first one was my idea of what he would go for as a jingly celebrations outfit ahah the eridians collect and make him all sorts of beads; even if they're sad that their most resonant materials are toxic to Grace. They settle on some of the lightest metals they have plus porous rocks (trying to avoid extra weight as much as possible because of, well, extra gravity).

Grace has a fun week sorting them by colour which is incomprehensible to them (to the point someone alerts rocky that the human has been pushing the same beads around arbitrarily and is he ok??)

It is not the best sounding outfit anyone has heard but they're happy Grace is well enough to celebrate with them!
