Me when I can only find like three pieces of fanart for a ship so I make my own
So for context, these are Riley and Chase, the green and black rangers respectively from Power Rangers Dino Charge. I haven’t watched the series since its release years ago, but it’s always been one of my favorites so I went to rewatch it the other day. And in like episode four or five or something I got hit with such strong ✨vibes✨ from Riley, and I couldn’t tell if it was me thinking it was the character or the actor. So I went to look up the character (Dino charge Riley) and was imediatly hit with an autofill: Dino charge Riley x Chase
Lemme tell you the relief of realizing that I wasn’t the only one who thought that. I eventually found on the fandom wiki that the actor had interpreted Riley’s character to be gay, and had a thing for Chase. While it isn’t cannon to the show at least, it was super cool for me at least to see that the actor had intended for Riley to feel subtly queer. Probably helped paved the way for Izzy, the green ranger of Dino Fury/Cosmic Fury, to canonically had a girlfriend/be in a same-sex couple (which was also so funny to me because I thought her brother, THAT season’s black ranger, would be the queer one)
Anywho. I’m not gonna say I necessarily ship Riley and Chase, but I will definitely headcannon Riley as being queer with a fat fucking crush on Chase that he never acts on for fear of making it awkward. I just wanted to contribute to the small amount of fanart of these two cuz I want to see more in the world lmao
