I'll be off watching the Last Act in theaters in the next hour!
I'll remain spoiler free of course! But I'll also be immune to spoilers at the same time!
SPOILER: Its a good movie.
That is all.
just came back from tadc last act and here’s my spoiler free thoughts
I genuinely thought it was really good. I don’t understand the people that don’t like it (the ppl that have seen then leak)
it ties up lots of loose ends, gives the characters a lot more depth, and it gives the audience and characters closure. I really really liked how Goose did it. also there was clearly thought put into it and oml there’s so much that made the fans go crazy. a part at the end made everyone in the theater awwww it was so cute.
Rose Tyler was poor. She didn't finish her A-levels, she lived in government housing, she worked a shitty retail job with no hope of college or university on the horizon, she was 300% what her classist society would view as trashy; thick mascara, dark roots, the whole nine yards.
But she was the most important woman in the universe to the Doctor, to so many she impacted; beautiful, brilliant, adored. She was the love of his live(s), and so, so many who met her were touched in some way just because she was herself, and because her conviction, her love, and her compassion were so powerful that they radiated across universes, throughout time, and changed everything, over and over again.
And I know all of this has been said so many times, for almost twenty years now, but Rose, I think you will always be my favorite fictional woman of all time.
Happy Pride to Dean and his giant rainbow slinky
Knowing peace was too much to ask for anyways

This is definitely not about the majority (I hope) but as much as I hated the finale, I am so happy for the people who liked it. I am genuinely glad they don't have to feel the grief the rest of us do for our favorite characters killing themselves. I am jealous. But damn a lot of the people who liked it are straight up mean to us. 'Get over it/you're stupid/you don't know the characters/but you like human au's so you just choose to not like this'.
Just let us have our feelings. Please. I don't come at you telling you every reason not to like it. There's hostility on both sides of course and I can only speak of what I've encountered, but it's sad. I don't think we'll ever recover as a fandom from this huge divide.
"the doctor was completely colourblind for his first two incarnations" is hilarious for many reasons but at least partly because it implies the third doctor just woke up one day suddenly able to see in colour and immediately decided to start dressing like a gay parrot
“average Doctor is really really cool” factoid actually just statistical error. average Doctor is very uncool. The ninth doctor who wore a leather jacket 24/7 and told a dalek to kill himself is an outlier and should not have been counted
nothing to see here just a couple of ineffable 60s gals out in town
Missy walks out of a room, lipstick smeared and hair disheveled. "You should see the other guy." She smirks, gesturing towards the door. You open it. The Doctor is dead on the floor

I do enjoy the fact that basically, every time he's on screen, he looks 4 seconds away from crying.
missy
i don't think i'll ever forget when the boys' PE teacher so casually prompted me to join the other lads. there were no bells and whistles or some big grand gesture making a massive deal. he tret me like he would any other young lad. school was rough for me (like with most queer kids), so moments like these really shine. cheers, sir 🫡
talking to a bot/scammer i think we are getting somewhere

very important research purposes. you define what 'better' should mean here
who handled their Divorced An Angel era better?
Anthony J. Crowley
Dean Winchester
This one's hard. Because they both had the alcohol abuse. But only one lost literally everything and didn't have any friendships left, the other one had his brother who, even though he himself gave up, did his best to somehow keep him upright and always managed to do so. Yes Crowley didn't kill himself but also he lost literally everything, slept in an alley and basically tried to drink himself to death; I said it before and I'll say it again, Crowley wasn't 'lost' like Muriel said, he was too depressed to kill himself. That mf took it worse. Not to say that Dean took it well because god knows he didn't. But he had someone who tried to keep him upright, Crowley didn't. Anyways thank you for coming to my yapp session of the crossover of my first fandom hyperfixation and my current hyperfixation!
happy pride month everyone!!
