YOYOYO
Sooooo I’m Gen! I made this account to motivate me to study more, and I don’t really know the intricacies of tumblr or studyblr yet. Anywho here’s some about me stuff: -I’m a freshman
-I’m a slytherin and neck deep in the Harry Potter fandom
-I run an Instagram art account
-I’m in geometry, physics, and english (all advanced), and for electives I take band and visual arts. I’m being tutored in Spanish, which I’ve taken for 9 years. (My schedule isn’t final though, the school kinda messed it up)
-I love musicals- especially BMC and the Book of Mormon
-I’m not that great at studyblr yet. But I’m trying.
Hey, there!
I’m Eli, the owner of this blog - @textbookhermione. You can also follow my main blog - @readinggglasses I just joined the studyblr community with school starting in two weeks. I’ll be going into 8th grade, yes, I know, quite young for a studyblr, but I think this blog will absolutely help me be more accountable for my school work.
A little about me…
- I’m 14
- I do showchoir, perform in muscials, as well as sing, play the ukulele, and the piano.
- I’m a Ravenclaw
- I’m interested in learning Italian in my free time since I don’t want to go ahead of my school lessons in Spanish.
- I have some mental health issues, so if posts aren’t consistent, please be understanding! I do hope to share my experiences with you though. :)
- I take advanced math and English, so some of my classes are at a standard freshman level, if any freshmen want to chat about those subjects.
Tagging my favorite studyblrs…

Hey, You Might Be Autistic.
Okay, deep breaths. I know this is hard for you if you’ve always considered yourself neurotypical.
You might be thinking of the “Autistic screeching” jokes, that you’ve heard them used, that you’ve used them yourself.
You might be thinking “but I’m smart/social/normal!”
It’s okay. Unpack your defensiveness.
ESPECIALLY if you’re a girl. So many Autistic girls are never diagnosed, and I’m going to try to make sure you’re not one of them.
- If you are often “in fandoms” and you have hyperfixations with them - whether they change or not - that could be a Special Interest (SpIn for short), a term for an Autistic person’s fixation.
- If you consider yourself “smart but lazy” - Autistic people tend to be “smarter” than most neurotypicals, but often lack energy. This is sometimes dismissed as “a gifted person who just isn’t trying”.
- If you have “resting bitch face”, remember that Autistic people usually don’t express emotion in their face or body language, so it could be one of the key signs for Autism.
- If you are “sensitive towards light/sound/temperature” and often find yourself “overreacting” (and feel childish / have people tell you that you’re childish because of it), you could be experiencing sensory overload.
- If you “enjoy fidgeting” or just really like good smells/tastes/textures beyond normalcy, you could be stimming, which is extremely common in both people with ADHD and Autism.
- If you are “emotional because of other people’s feelings” or “unempathetic/unemotional when it comes to other people”, you could be experiencing hyperempathy/hypoempathy, especially if you tend to fluctuate between the two. Remember that being hypoempathetic doesn’t make you a bad person: you can still experience compassion/sympathy like anybody else!
- If you consider yourself “weird”, remember that Autistic minds work differently than Allistic minds, and that this could mean that you’re not just “quirky/odd/unusual”, you’re Autistic.
Don’t panic, the Autistic community is beautiful and a lovely place to be in. And remember that self-diagnosis is 100% okay, good, and valid.
Everybody can reblog this, whether you are Autistic or Allistic/neurotypical ❤️

reblog if ur a disgusting piece of shit
who the fuck manages to eat three set separate meals at three set times of the day. who the fuck does that. i eat however much i’m hungry for whenever i’m hungry, which could be anywhere in the range of once a day, six times a day or constantly snacking, depending on the weather, how much i’ve slept, the phase of my menstrual cycle, how annoyed i am, how well i’m dressed, how much work i have to do, how much food i see that day, how gay i’m feeling,
“Oh so now you sorry??! You sure as hell wasn’t sorry when..”
this... this is a very unhealthy relationship...

we all know school can get a bit overwhelming sometimes. when it does, it’s important to remember to wind down and take care of yourself. rest is the key to stay productive and motivated, so I put together some tips and a few resources to help you feel good!
have a nice morning: • don’t snooze. snoozing has never worked for me, it just makes me more convinced that it’s a good idea to stay in bed. instead, directly when the alarm goes off, turn on a light and put up your windows blinds. this will help you wake up easier. • eat a breakfast suited to you. not hungry in the morning? eat something small. starving when you wake up? eat a big breakfast. the important thing is to eat something. your body needs some fuel after a whole night without it. • listen to some light and happy music. always improves my mood. I often listen to this playlist in the morning. • make your bed. prevents you from going back to sleep and makes me feel more organized when I come home.
during the day: • reflect. around lunch, think about your day so far. how am I feeling? how is school going so far today? what do I need to do tonight? • try to be social. when you’re home, you have to study. so whilst you have people around you, talk to them! I always try to be as social as I can during breaks and lunch, so I don’t feel the need to text/snap my friends later when I should be studying. • stay hydrated. i always take a little water bottle with me to school. place it in front of you during class and it will remind you to drink. • let yourself have bad days. nothing going the way you planned? it’s okay. it’ll be okay. just take care of yourself today. you can always study later, your own health should be your number one priority.
coming home from school: • change clothes. first thing I do when I come home from a long stressful day is to change into some comfy clothes and get cozy, especially now when fall is here. • dance breaks. when your home doing homework, instead of going on your phone during breaks - dance! put on a good song and you’re good to go! don’t care about how silly you’ll look. trust me, it helps. • clean up your desk. when your done with your homework and studying, put away all of your notes and books. pack your bag for tomorrow with everything you’ll need. this is to prevent stress in the morning, because forgetting one of your textbooks is not a good way to start of the day. • plan your outfit for the next day. trust me, this will help you not stress about how you look in the morning. this prevents me from choosing my favorite sweatshirt everyday that I tbh still want wear everyday anyways • take a hot shower/bath. every time after a test I feel extremely tired and get the worst headache. this is because I’ve been nervous and tense the whole day. taking a bath really helps me relax and slow down. this is a great time to be alone, enjoy the silence and reflect over the day. • treat yourself. put on an episode of the show you’re watching, read some pages in a book, scroll through your tumblr dash, talk to friends, drink your favorite hot beverage, watch youtube, do anything that makes you happy! I always plan in this type of stuff everyday in my planner. for example, it makes me motivated to finish my homework and my tasks because then I can watch more youtube! • be creative. write something in your planner, doodle, paint, draw, write, play an instrument, learn something new for fun or sing your favorite song atm. after a long day of trying to remember everything from classes, just do something for fun!

the well known Harry Potter cycle
Step 1: thinking Snape is a bad guy
Step 2: thinking Snape is a good guy
Step 3: realising as you mature as a person that Snape was actually a terrible person after all and was an abusive bully who didn’t grown out of this stage even into his late 30s and an obsessive person who thought he was entitled to Lily just because she showed him friendship and no matter how many bias memories of his you are shown you will never see him in any different way
unfortunately some people are still stuck in stage 2
Step 4: Realizing Dumbledore was manipulative and abusive as well and not the infallible person everyone believed him to be.
Step 5: Discovering that the only person as golden as their reputation portrayed and knew what the fuck was going on was Minerva McGonagall and she was amazing.
Step 6: Give more praise to Minerva McGonagall
