I'm going to gently disagree with this particular interpretation, or at least part of it. I do not think the flowers are the "opposite" of their traits. Rather, they embody the traits themselves, both what it means to have that trait, and to lack it.
Aqua is probably the strangest one, but the way I see her is that she's impatient and impulsive, and actually requires patience to be around and work with, but loyal if you do put in that work. See her giving the feather as a gift.
Seth runs off a lot when they know they can't win, but they do keep trying! Over and over! Compared to all the others, they probably take the longest to come around!
Orange is a bit of a wimp that runs off when she gets too flighty, but she DOES stand beside Flowery in the big fight!
Green is kind and generous, most assuredly. But this does, in some capacity, mean they are aiding in the flowers' own defeat when they do things like re-cook your healing items or make a shop for you. Despite being kind, they also have a habit of shaking others down for money.
Yellow wants justice for sure! But he also says he'd never arrest Blue. But that's because he can't imagine Blue being worthy of arresting. When Yellow lashes out, it's never out of anger or violence or a perceived personal slight-- he is ALWAYS acting in the name of justice. He just can't keep track of what really IS just without integrity-- it's honestly really touching writing. Justice without truth and upstanding character is just needless punishment of the self and others. But that doesn't change that he IS always trying his best.
And Blue is the most nuanced of all of these. Of all of them, he's the one that is most at peace with the ephemeral nature of their dark world, and he wants nothing more than to enjoy it while it lasts. He can lie, he can steal, he can trick you or goad you into a battle, but not once do I find myself thinking he's ever malicious. If your friend pranks you, something ultimately harmless, you're not going to say they're a "liar" just because of that, because when it really matters, you know that teasing and fun is kept separate from times when honesty truly matters.
Now it is worth noting! Blue is a performer! In some ways, you could think of a play/act as a lie by its very nature. But is an actor a liar just because they pretend while on a stage? I'd argue no. Rather, that act is just a facet of their life. And the same goes for Blue.
Furthermore, think about one of his moments where he "lacks integrity." The trial comes to mind, when he stole Yellow's flowers. Well, one, he was making a gift with them. Two, he GIVES you the ribbon if you don't have it. Toby Fox could have made Seth or Green give it to you but it's still Blue. and three, he DOES manage to make Yellow feel better by the end. So he told a lie and took something, but through it, what do we learn? That not all deceptions are malicious, not all opposing sides are enemies. Just like how Susie wasn't malicious when she tricked Yellow in the first place, Blue isn't malicious in stealing the flowers, and Flowery isn't malicious in impeding our progress to the fountain. The truth is going to make itself known. In the interim, Blue has now provided Yellow with a chance to follow his dream of being a cowboy that finds justice by solving crimes with us.
So yes, Blue lies. He helps Flowery. But he never actually wants us hurt. He's the one to heal us, after all. The only reason he's fighting us at all is because he knows Flowery's lie isn't going to prevail.
Long-winded, apologies. But I do feel strongly about the flowers and that they don't represent the opposite of their traits. Rather, I think of it more like an "in sickness and in health" situation you might see in a wedding vow, considering they're a wedding bouquet.
