"Absolutely no one comes to save us but us."
Ismatu Gwendolyn, "you've been traumatized into hating reading (and it makes you easier to oppress)", from Threadings, on Substack [ID'd]
HEY wanna read but annoyed on where to find copies of books?
Here's an archive with millions of PDFs of books and papers and magazines and essays and stuff.
I've been looking for such archives, thanks
i was not going to publish this essay because i donβt like to yell but here the fuck i am.
the first link broke, here you go
The link above for Annaβs Archive is also broken, but you can find an up-to-date list of its functioning URLs on its Wikipedia page!
just received this message on one of my fics. i suspected it was a scam, and searching up this personβs account it was confirmed by their mutual they had been hacked. not certain why this was put onto my fic as weβre in entirely different fandoms (iβve never even watched the punisher) so just in case you havenβt seen this before, if you get a comment like this, just ignore it.
having googled this scam i saw someone getting this exact comment (word for word) and being then asked to contact someone on discord in the ensuing dms:
itβs probably very obvious, but in case youβre not super up to date with this stuff, be aware. if someone has something important to say to you but theyβre unable to message you, they are free to send you an ask. it is rarely if ever necessary to message someone privately for anything like this.
