pops is especially obsessed with squirrels. he has named all the squirrels in his yard (cashew, peanut, etc) and hangs out on the porch observing and vibing with them.

i asked him last year if he wanted me to make him anything for his birthday (i crochet) and he said he just wanted a nice simple potholder. dad’s not the kind of person you go out and buy a gift for.
