Cis people fucking with gender is good for trans people, actually.
It normalizes these breaks from gender expectations, it promotes acceptance of it, and it helps us expand resources that help trans people if cis people are using them, too.
Imagine a world where binding is a common fashion choice; where nearly every major fashion company makes and sells them, where nobody bats an eye when someone wants to flatten their chest.
Imagine a world where people can go on HRT just because they want to; where more clinics provide it, more doctors learn how to administer it, and more researchers research the effects.
Imagine a world where âGRSâ surgeries are open to anyone who wants them; where you donât need letters and assessments and specialists and therapists to determine youâre sufficiently miserable in your body without them.
âAppropriating transnessâ my ass. We have a lot more in common with disability activism than marginalized ethnicities and cultures, yall; not because this is a disorder or a disability, but because the âcultureâ youâre referring to is just a collection of needs that a lot of us have in common.
The more normalized it is to meet those needs, the more widely-available those resources will be.
Wilbur: This really bothers me, you know how we were talking about things that really annoy us in modern media? This is the one for me: Teenage girls have nothing they can have interest in without being mocked and I think thatâs hella unfair and sexist and bad. The coldest take youâll ever have from me.Â
SAY IT LOUDER FOR THE PEOPLE IN THE FUCKING BACK
Iâm Brazilian and my strongest memory relating to a roundabout was when me and my family were walking near my grandparentâs house. My little brother asked what the circle in the ground was and my dad explained the concept of a roundabout, âyouâre supposed to go around it, so the road is more organized, look, thereâs a car coming, youâll see how it worksâ and that car just. Fucking ran over it. Dude just went forward like the road was straight. We never saw anyone do that again and Iâm still not over it

that neurodivergent feel when you find that one fucking person who it doesnât drain your battery to talk to. like a person with whom conversation is consistently fun and non-tiring and even sometimes relaxing/energizing which is of course absolutely insane as a concept
multiple people have responded with âyeah and i married themâ and yaâll are hella valid
do you guys remember the lesbian that ran the webkinz clothing store circa 2010
sheâs still around
this is so ominous⌠*whips around to check behind me*
ââMy four daughters watch [The Mandalorian] and obviously the world is like, âItâs the Baby Yoda show,â and Iâm never jealous or have any problem with that, but I have to say, two of my daughters texted me and two of them [called] me: âPapa, please donât hurt that baby. Donât hurt that baby.â And I said, âI will squash that little big-eared bastard.âââ

If you arenât watching it all unfold, you must be whatâs unfolding

ive been on tumblr almost eight years and i still dont know what homestuck was. was it a tv show? a comic book? a web series? i dont know and if you tell me iâll block you immediately
does anyone else remember being in, like, middle school and every adult over the age of 30 being like âdrawing or writing on your hands is literally the most EVIL thing you can do and can KILL youâ
My friend once put her maths homework in a bottle of water and drank it, then became ill and wasnât able to go to school the next day, pen ink is really bad y'know
ok but you see what the difference here is, right? like you see the difference between drawing on your hands and drinking homework juice, right??
passing another imposter really feels like this
i saw the tags and realized this is about the among us video game but when i first read the post i just thought this was about me and someone else who also has imposter syndromeÂ
ok. Iâm crying
this is so sweet
âWhen I was growing up, I never thought Iâd want kids. I had a tough childhood. And when you have a tough childhood, itâs hard to believe that a good childhood is even an option. So I didnât want kids, because I was afraid if I did that they would feel how I felt. I didnât want anyone to feel the way I felt. And then I got pregnant when I was eighteen, so I made a promise to never let my baby feel that way. A while ago, I gave her my favourite book from my childhood to read, From the Mixed-Up Files of Mrs. Basil E. Frankweiler. Itâs about some kids who run away from home and go live in a museum. So one day sheâs reading it, and she stops for a moment. And she says, âMom, I kinda like the book, but I kinda donât.â I said, âThatâs all right, what donât you like about it?â She said, âI just donât understand how anyone could want to run away from home.â I said, âYou never thought about it?â She said, âWhy would I? I have the best mom ever.â So I hugged her and cried. The reason I liked the book was the reason she didnât! Iâm keeping my promise, and just a little reminder: your past doesnât define you. You can do better, even if you donât know how yet.â

gatorade and weed can cure literally anything. the government doesnât want you to know this. the reason it took so long for them to develop a covid vaccine is that they were too busy covering up the fact that gatorade and weed can cure coronavirus
Me when the electrolytes hit
say what you want about tumblr but on literally any other website youd get a warning before interacting this post about âdisinformationâ or itâd just be outright banned. tumblr is the only site not afraid of the truth.
so someone just said theyâre âreally interested in historyâ how careful do you have to be?
âi just think history is interesting in general! iâm not interested in any specific part of itâ: this person is most likely safe. never drop your guard though
âiâm interested in this specific subject or time period in history. (ex. ancient egypt, the golden age of piracy, the history of the printing pressâ: still probably safe. be on the lookout for certain risky historical subjects. you should know them you see themÂ
âiâm really into WW2 historyâ: this is the caution zone, thereâs plenty of valid reasons to be into WW2, but if they start talking about how Operation Sealion totally could have succeeded, itâs time to abort
âiâm specifically into roman history, the crusades, prussian military history, and WW2â: danger! do NOT talk about history with this person. in fact, do not talk to this person at all. you will regret it, you do not want to know what they think of the treaty of versailles or why germany lost the first world war
âI was really into ancient greek mythology in middle schoolâ: this person is gay
