Laura Shaw having a rep for not caring about Robert when she threw Her Royal Highness Moira off her farm and redecorated her whole house so that Robert can rebuild Emmerdale farm from the ground up and created a whole new adult Sugden for him while Vic is on maternity leave đ
Him not being the central focus of a storyline atm (news flash there will be times when he isnât, there will be times when they all arenât) but still being included in storylines and given stuff to do unlike say Chas or Ruby doesnât mean they donât care about him. It means the opposite. Lordy.
Edit coming back to his because I really am finding this all a bit baffling.
Liam - hasnât had a storyline since Ella left over a year ago. Makes occasional appearances to counsel Cain.
Chas (a primary character) - hasnât had a storyline since Ella left over a year ago. Makes occasional appearances to moan at Charity. Has had virtually no recent interactions with her brother Cain despite her also surviving cancer and having body altering surgery in recent years and being his closest sibling.
Ruby - Has had next to nothing to do this year. Only 1 episode in both March and April and just 19 inconsequential appearances over all.
Rhona - hasnât been seen in 10 weeks and counting after wrapping a storyline where she had a significant supporting role.
Robertâs appearances may not be as many as Iâd like, but when he has been onscreen itâs with purpose. He isnât being used to prop up the bar to bolster his episode count. He has been involved in stories continuously since Corriedale after wrapping a lengthy storyline (John) they are keeping him involved in storylines in an active role. They are laying important foundations for his future on the show, giving him a farm and a house and new family. The idea that he isnât cared about is đ€Ż
Of course I want more, I always want more.
