Confirmation that this weeks episodes were partly filmed when Danny was on holiday. So they obviously worked around his holiday and filmed his scenes when he was back or before he went. So hopefully not the long break some were fearing. Hopefully similar for his more recent holiday 🤞

Back when John first arrived didn’t we speculate at the time that it was odd that John seemed to already know of Robert and Andy despite never having met them? I remember there being theories about maybe he read about them in local press or something. But there was definitely an unexplained sense that he was already familiar with the family. Serena would be a good explanation for that (not that she would have been a thought in the writers heads at the time)

Serena doesn’t like Aaron and I think it’s deeper than just returning his energy. Even back to that first episode they shared when she tried to force a heart to heart, her comment about Aaron being the only one taken in had a vindictive edge. It’s such a mean thing to say to someone who survived awful domestic abuse m and as I’ve said before they have shown us her with Charity we know she knows the right things to say to victims. That comment to Aaron was a choice.

I hope whoever kev’s friend is that shows up spills the beans to robert about how kev stabbed himself and hope rob and aaron both get to lose their shit but emmerdale would never
At this point I think our best chance of it coming out is Aaron making a sarcastic dig “you probably stabbed yourself” and Kev reacting like 😳 giving himself away.

Laura Shaw having a rep for not caring about Robert when she threw Her Royal Highness Moira off her farm and redecorated her whole house so that Robert can rebuild Emmerdale farm from the ground up and created a whole new adult Sugden for him while Vic is on maternity leave 😅
Him not being the central focus of a storyline atm (news flash there will be times when he isn’t, there will be times when they all aren’t) but still being included in storylines and given stuff to do unlike say Chas or Ruby doesn’t mean they don’t care about him. It means the opposite. Lordy.
Edit coming back to his because I really am finding this all a bit baffling.
Liam - hasn’t had a storyline since Ella left over a year ago. Makes occasional appearances to counsel Cain.
Chas (a primary character) - hasn’t had a storyline since Ella left over a year ago. Makes occasional appearances to moan at Charity. Has had virtually no recent interactions with her brother Cain despite her also surviving cancer and having body altering surgery in recent years and being his closest sibling.
Ruby - Has had next to nothing to do this year. Only 1 episode in both March and April and just 19 inconsequential appearances over all.
Rhona - hasn’t been seen in 10 weeks and counting after wrapping a storyline where she had a significant supporting role.
Robert’s appearances may not be as many as I’d like, but when he has been onscreen it’s with purpose. He isn’t being used to prop up the bar to bolster his episode count. He has been involved in stories continuously since Corriedale after wrapping a lengthy storyline (John) they are keeping him involved in storylines in an active role. They are laying important foundations for his future on the show, giving him a farm and a house and new family. The idea that he isn’t cared about is 🤯
Of course I want more, I always want more.

Why does Kev keep refering to Robert as "she"? Is that the pansexual part of him that doesn't see gender and he simple keeps confusing Robert with girls?
Or is it to belittle Robert? Or is it simple homophobic?
Either way: I don't like it.
He is emasculating Robert, its control but also probably internalised homophobia mixed with toxic masculinity and a desire to remind Robert that he is/was “the man” in the relationship. Pathetic really.
If she is a cop and that’s how Kev knows her then he must have had dealings with her recently because she isn’t old enough to have encountered Kev before he went to prison for 20 odd years (unless he lied to Robert about how long he had been in prison which we can’t rule out with Kev, he lied about everything else)
