Still can’t believe Emmerdale have Charles and Aaron both in groups that put them at very elevated risk of aggressive prostate cancer and they decided to give the storyline to bloody Cain so he can wrestle with his masculinity for the 15000th time.

They could have done something incredibly positive and got the message out there that 1 in 4 men of Afro Caribbean descent will be diagnosed with prostate cancer, that they are more likely to have an aggressive form of prostate cancer and have high mortality rates due to late diagnosis and got more black men out there getting tested.

But no it just had to be Cain.

The backstory they chose for Serena and Robert would be easier to buy into if we didn’t watch Robert’s entire childhood 😅

Sugdens aren’t the Dingles who rocked up in the 90s with decades of off screen history they can keep diving into, the Sugden’s are day one Emmerdale. We have watched it all.

I’m not that pressed about it, I’d just preferred there was a bit more realism, that we could watch Robert develop a bond with a cousin he has never really met as they get to know each other instead of having to pretend they already have a relationship.

(Also the John thing remains weird but it could still be a bullshit backstory Serena concocted to cover whatever she is up to, so for now I’m giving them grace on that)
