Because if war really was in our nature (it is not), then we can transcend it regardless.

It was not in human's nature to be able to fly, to go to the depths of the ocean or the vastness of space. And yet, we did it, we transceded our nature as terrestial creatures.

If we could do that, we are perfectly capable of trascending war if it really was part of our nature (it is not).

I mean, to be fair to the latest anon (though not the one before that who did say about human nature) they're saying that human societies, not humans as a species, have never been free of war.

Which is again, just false. There have been plenty of societies and long stretches of history without any major conflict. There are plenty of countries right now, and not only in the rich first world but elsewhere, that have not have had war for decades and even more. War isn't a inherent feature of human societies.
