hbomberguy and co are over on bluesky pedojacketing patricia taxxon because she called him out for underpaying her as a freelancer for several years (including when she was a fucking teenager)

The posts about being underpaid came after Hbomb made his post, and after the dogpile was well underway. I think it deserves to be republished here, because it really is a dreadful instance of an artist being undercompensated:

Hbomb's post would be indefensible either way, but I think laying out the order of events illuminates things even further. Patricia Taxxon would be well within her right to call out being underpaid at any time, but as it stands she brought it up after Hbomberguy and his producer* contributed to the harrassment campaign against her. I would bet money that this is why Lily Alexandre deleted her post - because it validates Patricia's claim of underpayment that she posted in response to Hbomb pedojacketing her.

What we have here is a woman being piled on for the crime of venting that a man - who she did not even name - treated her poorly. "Lefttube" my ass.

actually i think the real issue is that hbomberguy is a cisgender man with a fair amount of social and literal capital (at least comparatively speaking here) and he is happy to leverage his privilege against a visibly disabled transgender woman in order to discredit and unperson her to avoid actually taking accountability for his shitty actions.

if this was happening between two people not in the internets public eye, it would probably resolve worse, as patricia taxxon would not have a sizable group of people witnessing her mistreatment and defending her from it! this exact dynamic plays out constantly to trans women! they are cast as sexual predators and a threat to childrens' safety in order to justify denying them fair pay, housing, treatment, legal protections, etc...

i think, sure, this situation involving somebody with the internet cloud hbomb has is thus increasing the visibility for people to decide to get in on harrassing ms. taxxon! but i think saying that the real problem is that its concerning Online Personalities is very much choosing to avoid the core issue of transmisogyny.

sure, everything you said is true. but people are also willing to smear and socially excise trans women pretty much no matter whats going on or what scale something is happening at, as many transfems would be able to tell you. this happens at the friend group level, at the roommate level, at the workplace level, etc, constantly.
