One thing I really appreciate about Heartstopper is how it puts friendships on the same level as romantic relationships. Like, how Charlie wrote Tao's name on the lock and not Nick's? That was so beautiful. It shows that friendships matters as much, that we should cherish them too.
One of my favourite aspects in the season 2 of Heartstopper is how unapologetically intolerant everyone is towards homophobia. Like.
Harry showing up at Tara's birthday party and Charlie shutting the door in his face despite that apology.
Nick freely calling out his brother's biphobic behavior. Tori literally sinking her nails in David's arm when he was mocking Charlie and Nick and planning to out them.
It's so refreshing. There's no moment where someone asks Charlie or Nick to be the "bigger people" and forgive anyone who undermined, mocked, dismissed, and harassed them for their identity.
Because that shit shouldn't be tolerated ever and it's not acceptable. Queer people aren't here to be your redemption arc.
Lol😂

Jonathan Majors has become one of my favourite actors over the last couple of years and he has such a wonderful face, he was a total joy to paint.
He’s best known for his roles in The Harder They Fall and Loki but if you haven’t seen his film, The Last Black Man in San Francisco, I can’t recommend it enough! It’s a special gem of a movie.

The Story of Gary Cooper and Stage Coach Mary
Gary Cooper the Movie Star of the 1930’s 40’s and 50’s wrote an article for Ebony Magazine in 1959 shortly before his death. In it he detailed one of his inspirations of Western Heroism. That inspiration was a Black Woman who ran the Stagecoach Line and delivered the US Mail to the remote farmhouse where he grew up in Montana. He wrote of her kindness and his admiration for her. Gary Cooper wanted to make sure that she would be remembered. Her name was “Stagecoach” Mary Fields. Here are her words and here is her story. Stagecoach Mary Fields in her own words.
"I am Mary Fields. People call me "Black Mary." People call me "Stagecoach Mary." I was born in Cascade, Tennessee. I am six feet tall. I weigh over two hundred pounds. A woman of the 19th Century, I do bold and exciting things. I wear pants. I smoke a big black cigar. I drink whiskey. I carry a pistol. I love adventure. I travel the country, driving a stagecoach, delivering the mail to distant towns.
Strong, I fight through rainstorms. Tough, I fight through snowstorms. I risk hurricanes and tornadoes. I am independent. No body tells me what to do. No body tells me where to go. When I'm not delivering mail, I like to build buildings. I like to smoke and drink in bars with the men. I like to be rough. I like to be rowdy. I also like to be loving. I like to be caring. I like to baby sit. I like to plant flowers and tend my garden. I like to give away corsages and bouquets. I like being me, Mary Fields."
"Born a slave, somewhere in Tennessee, Mary lived to be one of the freeest souls to ever draw breath or a .38"
Gary Cooper
Read up more about Mary Fields, including how the locals papers once declared that she had broken more noses than anyone in Central Montana.

No literally! First battle I was like I hate him - 2 battles later I was like we boyfriends now 🥰🥰🥰
Greys anatomy could end but I don’t think it has to. The plot gets a little thick sometimes, sure. But if you think of it as a series of interconnected short stories it’s brilliant - like the short stories told in each episodes - brilliant! The mini arcs - Amelia Sheppard defeating Dr. Herman’s tumor and the friendship fostered between Herman and Robbins - Inspiring. I think it’s fine if it keeps going lol

They're price-gouging so hard it surprised even Wells Fargo.
Wells Fargo analyst Mohit Bansal said the new pricing range for the vaccine could add around $2.5 billion to $3 billion in annual revenue for Pfizer.
"This is much higher than our assumption of $50 per shot, and even assuming $80 per shot net price in high-income countries, we see $2 per share upside to our estimates" from the new prices, Bansal wrote in a research note.
Price hikes like this are only possible because mRNA vaccine manufacturers refuse to release the patents and allow cheaper copies of the technology to be made, even though that would unquestionably speed access to more of the world. But releasing the patents would destroy the grip that Pfizer-BionTech and Moderna have on the mRNA vaccine market, preventing them from fixing prices like this. Both Moderna's and Pfizer's share prices have shot upwards after announcing this.
It is so hard to not want to kill specific people every day
This should literally be illegal. Stop making corporations more important than people. Like if the fucking survival of humanity depends on access to the vaccine, make the vaccine fucking accesible!
ommmmg I’m gonna try this one day

I love Frenchie and Kimiko so much and the mutual respect they have for each other. They accept each other where they are as they are. Frenchie loves kimiko with or without her powers and when she decides she wants her powers back, he doesn’t try to change her mind or stand in her way, and her having powers doesn’t make him feel small or inadequate and they are just such a *mwah* perfect pair 😭😭
the way this pretty much sums up the 2 main types of reactions while watching this show--
