Queer Stories Deserve to be Told

Calling all writers, artists, editors, gifmakers, podficcers, and other creatives! Come join us for the Young Royals Gift Exchange 2026, running from May to August this year!

This is a multimedia gift exchange, running on AO3. To take part, you sign up with prompts/ideas for gifts you'd like to receive, and you'll then be assigned someone to make a gift for based on your own offers. This is open to everyone - all YR characters, ships (or no ships), and themes are welcome!

Sign ups will be open from 1 to 16 May. Assignments will be due by 25 July, with works revealed on 1 August. You can find all the key dates at the link above.

Currently the sign up form allows you to request/offer: Fanart; Fanfiction; Fanmixes; Graphics (includes gifsets); Podfic; and Video. If you'd like to offer something else that isn't listed there, please let us know by 30 April so we can add it to the form.

The adults in this reboot of the franchise are FULLY accountable for choosing to do this show and accepting a pay cheque over supporting a minority group. Even if they claim they support trans rights, they’re cowards and don’t actually support them at all.

The kids do NOT deserve abuse or hate, whether it’s because you’re comparing them to Dan/Rupert/Emma or because you’re boycotting due to the author’s views. They are literal CHILDREN.
