it occurs to me that dancing would be way more visually interesting if our wings were visible. (Not even physical, necessarily, just visible.)

Just - imagine it for a second? Great big sweeping gestures, mirroring the arms or moving totally differently depending on the song, snapping from folded to outstretched and back in heartbeats, it’s a silly line of thought maybe but you have to admit it would be wild to be able to see that.

(I definitely don’t say this as I mess with how fast and sharp I can make wing gestures while listening to an absolute bop of a song or anything. Definitely not. And now I want to try and animate it, despite the fact that that’s way beyond my skill level right now.)
