I have seen some people call this lesphobia, and I absolutely believe that’s part of it, but I would go further and say it’s an attack on a pro-Palestinian artist. There has been a disproportionate amount of hate directed at artists that are pro-Palestinian over the past 2 years, I am sure there is bots and other inorganic activity involved in amplifying hate over really minor nothingness done by pro-Palestinian voices and it’s obvious as hell because why is Chappell getting hate for being mean to paparazzi or her bodyguard saying something to a young fan when Hollywood is full of literal abusers and pedos? The Oscar’s happened literally last week. An abuser won best supporting actor and an abuse apologist won best actor. Brad pitt’s movie won some award.
