I’m an toddler regressor who usually ranges from ages two to four. I don’t really regress publicly but I do post about it often :p. I dabble in caregiving as well, but I’m not that involved in that part of the community.

~A caregiver or babysitter who swears they can’t regress. They have a little one to watch over after all. (Bonus if they take on the role of parent when caregiving normally and/or are physically older)
~Character A who likes to be around when character B is looking after other regressors. Character B thinks that maybe Character A is a potential caregiver. Character A meanwhile is deeply curious about regression and is drawn to a lot of the colorful toys, fun cartoons, and soft demeanor that Character B takes on when caretaking
~Character A who sneaks a pacifier/blanket/toy/bottle from a bin of extras that caregiver keeps around in case of emergency, assuming that caregiver won’t notice. They have like 25 pacifiers, who’s going to miss one simple black one going missing? Or an unlabeled, undecorated bottle? Or a basic green blankie? And that stuffed bear was looking so sad all on its own, clearly it wasn't loved by anyone, so now they are going to love it
~Caregiver who ever so slightly pushes agere gear towards character in denial. If only someone would hug this poor teddy bear. Hey I bought this wrong-colored blanket for my kiddo; do you want it instead? Oh my gosh I haven’t seen this cartoon in forever! Wait you never watched it before? Dude you’ve missed out! Well now we need to have a movie night and binge cartoons- I’ll brings snacks!
~Caregiver who doesn’t realize they have started treating Character A like they would a little. Cutting their sandwich in half and removing the crusts. Lots of positive praise over very simply tasks. Reminding them to drink water, brush their teeth. Fussing over their clothes and hair. Picking them up and dragging them to bed at a reasonable time.
~Character A being really jealous for seemingly no reason whenever one of their friends are regressed. They’re more than supportive, so why is it that they feel so bad whenever their friend is regressed around them (bonus for Character being called out by their peers for unconsciously treating the regressor poorly, or ignoring them.)
~ <- additionally: to everyone else it seems like Character A is uncomfortable being around someone regressed and it leads to miscommunication. Do they confess that they end up feeling funny? That they wish they had that attention? Do they get angry? Or just keep avoiding now everyone because they feel guilty/stress is piling up
~Caregiver who’s been stressed and for one reason or another can’t be with their regular little, gets offered from Character A to treat them as if they were regressed. Character A expects this to be a comfortable soft evening, if not a little awkward. Turns out Character A is closer to slipping than they ever thought was possible.
~Middle regressor who really, really, really wants to be treated as if they were younger, but are too shy to ask to be babied. Instead they set up an elaborate scheme to get babied.

Kiddo who’s so used to taking care of themself. Making their own pasta, cutting off their own crusts, filling their own cup, putting bandaids on their own owies. Kiddo who spent so long taking care of themselves and self soothing they don’t know how to act with a carer now looking out for them. Instinct tells them self soothe, to be quiet and take care of it themselves.
Their carer finds them all the time, standing on a stool to stir pasta they’re making, muffling their cries with a teddy bear or cleaning up their own scraped knees. And carer is trying to be patient, rushes in and tries to take over so kiddo knows they’re not alone and they’re being taken care of now.

🌦️ On a rainy April afternoon..
- Dennis LOVES playing in the rain and will cry if his caregiver (Trinity or Robby) doesn’t let him go outside. They worry about him catching a cold, but he insists on playing outside anyway.
- He isn’t allowed to go outside in the rain little unsupervised! He isn’t allowed to do much of anything unsupervised because he’s so young, but especially not going out in the rain. There have been a couple scares where he slips and falls and scrapes his knee :(
- Thunder and lightning don’t scare him at all. In fact, he loves it. When he has to go inside because of it, he’ll stay glued to the window to watch the lightning.

- He receives a bubble bath after playing in the rain. Rain means mud, and mud means a dirty little Dennis. It’s kind of a sensory nightmare for him so he’s content to just squish it with his boots, but in the event that he does get dirty (which he will) he gets a bubble bath.
- Although he has a complex about people seeing him while he regresses, he finds that the local park is usually empty when it rains. It’s one of the only times he willingly goes into public while small and enjoys it a lot, not without an undercurrent of anxiety.
- When he’s with Robby, he watches him like a hawk. He holds his hand for every big puddle he wants to splash in, even if he is old and the rain makes his knees ache.
- When he’s with Trinity, most of the slips and falls happen with her. She’s not exactly a motherly caregiver, more of a sister if anything. She plays a little rougher but makes sure never to push Dennis too hard, physically or metaphorically.
- When he’s with both of them, Robby is usually the one taking care of both him and Trinity. It’s a rare occurrence since Trinity is still getting used to regressing in front of anyone who isn’t Dennis, but it’s a lot of fun when she does. Dennis enjoys having a playmate and a daddy at the same time.
- Dennis usually isn’t regressed too young when they play in the rain, but even so he’s still in the 3-4 headspace and has to wear pull-ups. They’re usually pretty protected in a drizzle by his raincoat, but in the event it does start raining harder and it’s affected by the rain, he wants to go inside immediately. He has a hard time tracking whether he’s wet from an accident or wet from the rain.
- He gets super sleepy after playing in the rain. After being bathed and dried he barely stays awake to be dressed and put to bed. Sometimes, he even falls asleep while being blow dried.

🌻 note: i rememebr when i first watched zootopia i couldn't stop thinking about the scene with nick and finnick and how agere coded that was??? and then he acts quite caregiver coded with judy throughout many parts of the move!!!
nick is 100% a messy caregiver. he's always got food for if you're hungry but he's also always dropping things!!
he's the funniest cg ever, he makes all the silly voices and faces when reading you bed time stories!! and he's NOT afraid to dress up with you
