OK so divorce au but what if: Somewhat(¿ Legundo's sire appears and Scott is jealous/pissed off because he sees someone else that has power over Legundo, Over HIS husband. Maybe the sire is the one who is able to truly make Legundo shut down and its makes scott blood boil..., ofc assuming that Legs sire is just like how canon v!Scott was to v!Pyro or a similar attitude, but I put it as the default because of course the doc cant have a peaceful day.
Maybe Legs was turned in the war against his will, maybe his sire saw the potential on Legundo as a doctor and didn't wanted to loose it, who knows... (well you know bcs is ur au lmaoo). Maybe the sire is a oc or another cc hehehe

I haven't thought too much about Legs' backstory in the AU, beyond it being similar to his canon backstory, just happened a lot longer ago, but I did imagine he got turned late in the war, after he had already poisoned the village. (Really solidify the whole I'm not a monster because I'm a vampire thing he has).
Whatever the circumstance, Scott would 100% HATE Legundo's sire, exactly for the reasons of power and control. Scott wants to be the only person occupying his husband's mind.
Especially if you add in sire bond stuff. Legs' has cut off his bond with Scott, blocking him out as much as possible. But imagine if Scott found out he hadn't cut off his sire?? Scott's feeding off scraps of what he can get when the bond manages to break through, and yet Legs' sire gets full connection? Fucking rude.

it *would* make things very messy. Because you *know* Morcant wouldn't mention it to Abolish - it's only a short mission, Abolish is just monitoring Legundo, they shouldnt have to interact much, after all. The fact that Legs is Morcant's fledgling isn't mission critical, so he doesn't say anything. (Plus it'll be funnier to see Abolish's reaction to that info *after* the mission, anyway)
You could also justify Morcant showing up in the middle of canon if you go with the whole "the barrier is a one way thing, people can come in but not leave", and have him realise a month or so in (maybe because of some of the things he's feeling through the sire bond with Legs) that maybe the mission is getting a bit out of hand, so he decides it's time he goes to deal with things himself.
hmmmmmmm I may have convinced myself on this.......... it's still a very silly thought... but this AU is very much equal parts tragedy and comedy.......
Abolish is having very mixed feelings about Morcant’s arrival because, on the one hand, by this point he's got the measure of his neighbours, and another sane voice in the crowd would not go amiss.
On the other, sir. Sir, I have this under control, I know I've been unable to report back, but this is literally my job, I've done more dangerous missions than this, did you really not trust me enough that you had to turn up halfway through this mission. Sir.
Only for Morcant to explain that, no, dear boy, he has no doubt in Abolish. It's his fledgling-in-law he doesn't trust.
Abolish: your what
tags from @voidanddragons
yessssss
and I think Legs would have avoided Morcant quite heavily, especially after the divorce because "he turned me to make me something better than a murder and look what I still turned into", so yes he is comforted by having his sire there but also The Guilt.
And you know Scott is being SUCH a pissy baby about all of it. New person shows up in town, after everyone has been trapped in a fishbowl of horrors for a month so suddenly Scott isn't the centre of attention anymore. *Plus* it's his ex-husbands' sire? *Double plus* it's his not-boyfriend's boss/parental-ish figure????? Scott would be having SUCH a tantrum about it.
He would also dial up the flirting with Abolish even more because it would be fucking Hilarious.
Oooh those are such good tags! It's also making me think about the parallels between Abolish and Legs and how messed up that gets whichever way you spin it.
Because if Morcant turned Legs after his massacre and gave him the tools to become a doctor, what do you mean he turned around and raised this kid as a living weapon, after knowing how it fucked him over??
And alternatively, if Morcant was one of the hands which steered Legs to commit his war crime, only for Legs to break away from it all, then his sire is still up to his old tricks and Abolish is being moulded into the same soldier he was
god yes ALL of this. Legs, who saw shadows of his former self in Abolish but wrote it off as him being unfair to the kid, suddenly realising that he was raised by Morcant - the man who turned him for [insert reason here].
I do love me some grey/amoral Elder Vampires. So what if we blend the two potential reasons here. Morcant turned Legundo in the early days of the Organisation - before it's really solidified as a Thing - after he committed the massacre of the town. Here is this incredible strategist, who works with brutal efficiency. He would be the perfect potential agent. So Morcant turns him, and through the sire-bond is slammed with an overwhelming horror of guilt.
Well, can't send that one out into the field then, he's just gonna find a way to commit an assisted suicide, Morcant thinks. But surely he could still be useful. So he hands him the tools to become a healer. And Legs grabs onto the opportunity with both hands.
But Morcant's got the Elder Vampire weakness of thinking "I have all the time in the world", so doesn't worry when Legs sets off to do his travelling doctor thing. He'll be back when he's ready, it's fine :)
Then Scott happens. Morcant writes Legundo off as a lost cause. Shame, but, the Organisation was still an experiment when Legs was turned, they've locked down a lot of the process now, and they have plenty of other agents.
And then six centuries later, Abolish Veylocke falls in Morcant's lap.
if yall didnt know - i am a big fan of my mutual @goldsmithcoded’s fic “As Spring Decays” which i think if you enjoy watching scott suffer and get worse, you should read. and i would say this is The Climatic Scene, its just so <chefs kiss> mwah, we kill nominal gravy! we haunt him with a very specific flower while everything burns!

I want an abolish is Scott's Butler AU or fic but instead of the generic him just being a human, I want him to be a fae, let him be a fairy folk!
Like I can see multiple ways this goes about
Scott could have encountered some fae slavers and rescued him asked for abolish to give him his name in exchange for helping him, or just asked for him to be his butler in exchange for helping. I can also see him trying to get in the face good graces by not coming across as wanting possession and instead he says something like what can I address you as? And maybe that would be after he already killed the slavers or kidnappers or really whatever. And this can be from a purely manipulative standpoint. And after enough time they kind of fall into love. But I can also see him taking the gamble and exchanging names. Like if you give me your name I will give you mine, mutual destruction/power over each other
Or he could have found out abolish's true name and forced him into servitude. You can get his toxic as you like with this. There's so many opportunities for literally anything
So yeah that was my TED Talk on Fey Butler abolish
thinking about the Bannerfall masquerade again... everyone's names were so perfectly picked. man it was so good, I miss it...
AU where every vampire has a soulmate, be they human or vampire as well. The vampire has no way of knowing who their soulmate is, no marks nor tethering strings. All except their bat form knows them at first sight, and in a flurry of instincts demands cuddles, returning whenever able much to the vampire’s lack of awareness or memory of the visits.
Ok this would be so funny tho
have this be why Scott accidentally bats during the house contest
It’s the first time that Abolish has stood close enough to Scott to trigger the soulmate instinct. Scott bats and just plants himself on Abolish’s chest
everyone is Freaking Out
and Abolish, who knows exactly what is happening, is just standing there like “oh no. No. Not this. Goddamn it.” (Absolutely stone faced, not visibly reacting at all, of course, he is a Professional).
‼️ Vampires SMP Spoilers

From @premiumr4t (damn I’m glad u didn’t get legs and Owen, I don’t think I could have pitched them as a ship, they just have no chemistry or interesting interactions……….. /silly)
also can’t pitch these two cause they’d try to have a secret meet up in the woods and both get catastrophically lost, never to actually meet
fr tho, it keeps coming back to those strong and fucked up moral codes. Mr Do No Harm and Ms I Only Kill People Who Kill People. They would disagree about so much, but they’re both trying to Do Good.
And then add poor Cleo having to watch her two idiots dance around their traumas.
They once again wouldn’t have a romantic vibe, but it would be an Interesting vibe.
really tired of seeing the idea that women & girls are less likely to be diagnosed with autism because it "presents differently" so widely accepted even in progressive spaces
it is also widely accepted that women get raises less often because they don't ask as much as men. this is objectively not true.
it is also widely accepted that women are more talkative than men. this is objectively not true.
it is also widely accepted that women are taken less seriously when speaking because their speech patterns are associated with a "lack of confidence". this is objectively not true. [1][2][3]
every time we talk about gender discrimination, people look for an explanation that starts with women's behavior.
and every fucking time, actual research shows that across the board, women actually don't behave that differently from men.
women aren't diagnosed less often with autism due to "presenting differently". it's gendered medical neglect, and weaponized diagnoses disproportionately applied to women (e.g. BPD, HPD, bipolar, etc.)
THANK YOU
Look, as a kid, I had the stereotypical 'boy autism'. I was not fucking good at masking. I was not using my 'superior feminine social skills' or whatever to learn the rules of the playground and hide my autism from the doctors.
I was sitting in the corner rocking and talking to myself, putting my toys into regimented lines, throwing up every time I ate anything with the Wrong taste or texture and lashing out at classmates who upset me because I didn't know how to use my words.
My mother claims that she first realised I might be autistic when somebody suggested that my brother might be autistic, and maybe she should read up on the condition, and then she got hold of a list of symptoms and realised that it was literally just a list of things about me.
Everyone fucking noticed. The kids at school noticed. The teachers noticed. The educational psychologist noticed. Like again, short of wearing a sign around my neck saying 'ATTENTION: MAY CONTAIN AUTISM', there really wasn't any way I could have been more obvious about it.
I apparently told one of the doctors that the reason I didn't have a friend at school was because the school had an odd number of students and it was therefore impossible for everyone to pair off without there being an outlier. That is… not a neurotypical line of reasoning.
Anyways, I didn't get a diagnosis until I was seventeen. I did get incredibly close at the age of ten, but was turned away at literally the final hurdle.
Why? Because the consultant in charge of making the final decision openly admitted that he didn't believe that girls could get autism.
thinking about jonathan sims being asexual. thinking about how most ace/ace-coded characters in media are represented as cold, distant, unfeeling, too busy, smart, or ambitious for sex, “barely human”, sometimes literal robots or aliens. thinking about jon, who first comes off as cold and rude but who we gradually discover to be compassionate, anxious, kind of a dork, funny, lonely, stubborn, brave. who struggles so much with his own humanity. thinking about the aces who feel different, disconnected, broken, who lack or have a complicated relationship with “the thing that makes us human.” thinking about jon, who even in his worst moments, cares so much and loves so deeply. who, on the surface, embodies the asexual stereotype of a character who’s too cold and inhuman for sex, and yet who subverts that stereotype over and over again by being a complex character struggling with his disconnection from other people in a way that beautifully ties into the unfortunately common asexual experience of feeling broken and yet who remains so very human, despite everything. thinking about how jonny probably didn’t consider all this when he wrote jon as asexual but fuck it it’s 3am and i’m emotional over the jarchivist. uh, in this essay i will-
I'm love him your honor
God I love being a multishipper
You can just put any combination of any of the blorbos in any Situation and just have so much fun
It’s like filling out a madlib
put any two (or three or five) characters together and see what happens if they kiss (or try to kill each other, or both)
so much fun!
Alright challenge accepted @rainydaydecaf

spin it, send me the results, and I’ll pitch the ship to you :)
thinking about bloodloathing divorce au again (always)
thinking about Scott constantly referring to Legs as “his husband” and Legs immediately correcting with “EX husband”.
Scott comes over to pester Legs while he’s talking with some townsfolk and Legs tells him to piss off. And Scott’s just like “what? Am I not allowed to talk to my husband?” Legs, immediately: “EX husband”
the others start picking up on it
Scott questions Abolish about why he’s spending so much time with his husband and Abolish just flatly looks at him and goes “Ex Husband”.
Scott teases Owen about how he thinks it’s cute he can flirt with his husband. “Ex husband” Owen grumbles back and storms off.
there’s some scene where Scott is doing one of his ‘has everyone wrapped around his finger’ speeches to the townsfolk and he makes a comment like “you’re all happy to cozy up to my husband” and there is just a resounding chorus of “EX HUSBAND” from everyone
Scott just thinks it’s funny
that is, until the day that Shelby does it.
Shelby only says it cause by that point it’s become a straight up vocal stim/meme for everyone, but she sees Scott’s face and realises she’s fucked up majorly
she immediately back pedals by going “no listen, it’s a good thing cause that means that *when* you get back together you can have another wedding!!! We can have a massive party!!! It’ll be amazing!!!”
Scott convinces himself that cheered him back up
