gonna be honest here the amount of people conflating being tme with being afab is uh… concerning

for one it completely ignores the amount of amab people (cis men & camab nb ppl who aren’t transfem) who are capable of and engage in transmisogyny and for two it gives tme people an excuse to not say they’re tme because they can imply it’s ‘asking what’s in your pants’ to avoid holding themselves accountable for their transmisogyny

If youre white you literally dont need to a coping method because racism exists. You dont need children's media to try and understand it. You dont experience racism and arent affected by it. What is SO hard to understand that even if you're autistic or whatever YOURE STILL WHITE. You still hold privilege over people of colour and shouldnt downplay the actual oppression we face by projecting it onto fictional media. This isnt some stupid book its reality and as a white person who is VERY capable of racism you need to see racism as it is. Unfiltered and not behind a disney logo.

i feel like people have forgotten how to be a generous audience when they read/watch something. like sometimes you have to buy into some bullshit plot points or a deus ex machina or a few loopholes as the price of admission for an otherwise fun time. sometimes these things are just gears that get us to where the story really wants to be, and too many people get caught up in those gears. sometimes you gotta meet a story halfway.
