I feel really bad about laughing at Season 5 Episode 14 while watching it.

But I can't take it seriously bc it's so obviously a silly retcon to make us hate Chloe and forget about her redemption arc that the creator scribbled all over plus to excuse Marinette's creepy stalker behavior towards Adrien in the eariler seasons (It's kinda why I can't get on board with Adrien x Marinette srry.) Not to mention it just makes Marinette's parents look worst. According to this episode, Tom and Sabine don't do anything about Chloe bullying Marinette for years, even though the show tells us time and time again how much they love and adore their daughter (Do not get me started on Revelator...)

And throughout the show Marinette is fine going to pool, and being around Kim. She isn't standish with him or does anything that would imply Kim has ever seriously wronged her. But suddenly she's having panic attacks seeing a photo of him and Ondine at the pool.

When we meet Chloe, she's just some mean girl whose rude to Marinette with Sabrina as her henchgirl. Marinette is never seen to be intimidated by Chloe or Sabrina and has no problem standing up to her. Hell, Marinette was able to work in Chloe briefly in one episode (I think it was Thomas' self insert episode.) But all of a sudden just seeing Chloe is back in Paris has Marinette paralyzed in complete terror (I've been mentally preparing myself for Queen of the Dreadzone, can I skip it or will I be too confused from then on.)

I'm just gonna pretend this episode is set in another universe for my own sanity.

y'all i shoulda went to bed but i just kept doodling. WHAT IF caine and pomni got into a fight instead of jax and pomni LOL (my showtime brain is TOO biased i fear)... what if caine blew up on pomni over scratch's abstraction or something (like if he caused it). plus the argument from pomni's side is kinda the same, i.e. 'you're not acknowledging that u actually have emotions and you don't go to the funerals and your mindset might be why people abstract'.

I don't think the rest of their argument works but ahhhh just ignore that this was a silly idea anyways
