i feel the thing with people trying to create the “next stranger things” is that in the first series of st they werent really trying anything, they didnt have a sick advertising campaign it was just kinda made then it grew popularity through the years

Stranger Things was already poorly written pastiche that specialized in riding the line of plagiarism and pretending it was paying homage. It was one vapid cash grab that relied heavily on nostalgia bait and the fact that the standards for visual media have plummeted to Hell over the last two decades. The last thing we need are more shows that are attempting to copy a show that already was just a mindless collection of stolen scenes and themes from successful media.
