Remember how in Yellowfang's Secret they had a plot point about a cat who was forced to have a litter she didn't want and every time she tried to get some support or sympathy from others she was met with complete dismissal because 'what kind of woman doesn't want to be a mother'? I do.

Meet my Tintin oc Kailin Wangηζ₯·ζ, Tchang's Chinese British Londoner cousin.
Kailin's parents were well-educated elites from Jiangsu, but they joined Tongmenghui(εηδΌ), an underground resistance movement to overthrow the Qing Dynasty. οΌsee top right)
Kailin's mom Cheng Huiyi, was involved in a failed assasination attempt of a Qing official. Cheng and her husband, also brother of Tchang's adopted father, fled to Britain and established the European headquater of Sons of the Dragon. Their family bussiness--the antique store--is a cover-up for the secrect society.
Kailin's first langauge is English, and she also speaks Suzhounese natively with her parents but her Madarin isn't very great.
She is a member of the Anglican Church, and went to church-run all girls school, where she was referred as Katherine. (see top left)
Being one of the only non-white girls at school made her strongly identify with her Chinese heritage, despite never been China, and all her knowledge about China was from the account of her parents, who had left the country 25 years ago.
Despite attending an art school in Paris, her study came to a halt when WWII started. She was forced to return to Britain, along with her other continental Europeans fleeing form the N@z1s.
She met her future husband during the journey. (See bottom left) She later settled in London, running Sons of the Dragon with her family.(see bottom right)
