-Clan is a monarchy, he's the secondborn and he has a littermate named Ravenpaw who will succeed their mother Jackdawstar (+ younger sister Crowkit/paw)

-Jackdawstar's mother Stellerstar and grandfather Jaystar were Bad warring people

-Ravenpaw was arranged in a marriage with rival Clan CascadeClan's heir Copperpaw to pacify the Clans. Rookpaw didn't like this and he and Copperpaw fought at a Gathering

-Resent over that and general life led to becoming a df trainee, even as he made amends with Copperpaw. Jaystar is nicer then the legends said

-Father is a douche named Prickletongue, he eventually cheated and had two kits (Bramblekit/Duskkit), and was demoted from king/Rookpaw's mentor

-mentor replacement was a guy named Yewshadow, who's part of a conspiracy to return the Clan's to traditional leadership, and all cozy with Rookpaw

-Rookpaw kills a fellow df trainee named Kestrelpaw during training, who coincidentally is the cousin of his close friend Ploverpaw
