When we pitched the Penguins of Madagascar, we intially were pretty set on it being traditionally animated. However after working on Spider-Verse, I've come around to a more 2.5D style. Here are some tests for how I imagine the characters could be rendered.

Follow up to my last Penguins of Madagascar doodle-

I based them more on their actual lemur types. So, ring tailed lemur, Aye-aye, and a goodman's mouse lemur. (But Irl, Mort would be VERY small. about 48 grams and around 18 inches from snout to tail.)

ANYWAY- I still feel like trash, soo... enjoy!

King Julien and Clover in winter gear (Despite it currently being July)

King Julien’s crown is actually a Kokoshnik, which is a Russian garment. I think it fits him very well. I was gonna also draw Maurice and Mort but I don’t like drawing them so I ended up just doing the king and Clover. I hope you enjoy my more detailed art of them.
