No one is doomed to abuse people. There isn't an "abuser gene" or "evil chromosome". There aren't "cursed bloodlines".
There's a culture that frequently enables, romanticizes and eroticizes abuse, and individual human beings who choose to take advantage of that, or not.
Even someone who has abused others in the past has a decision about whether or not to continue that harm. Further abuse isn't inevitable, it's a choice.
The idea that abusers can't help it just further enables abuse culture. If someone is abusive, they are making a choice.
"How can we make abuse less likely?" has very different answers depending on whether you see abuse as "a common choice shaped by social mores" or "an aberration that Weird Monsters do due to their immutable nature."

I can’t say I fully expected Jax’s storyline to take this turn, but I’m not unhappy with it, nor can I say I was entirely surprised! And happy for my husband who is like, the CEO of Transfemme Jax lol. Like fuck dude of course Jax is running away from her transness. From her perspective, she told her mom and that led to Jax killing her. She told Ribbit and that led to Jax killing her. If she gets close to Pomni- someone so good at breaking down her walls and figuring her out- Pomni will find out, and Jax will end up killing her. It's happened twice now, it's an inevitability in her own mind. Any time someone sees past her walls, past her mask, and finds out who and what she is, they laugh at her, and then they die. She sees her transness as dangerous- it's dangerous to the others because whenever someone finds out, they die. And it's dangerous to her because it leads to her being laughed at and mocked and bullied, no longer getting to have any kind of power- no, others get to hold this part of her over her head. She won't be safe, and if she is, the people she cares about (despite her best efforts to not give a shit) will die.
So just don't look at that part of you. Tape the cracked eggshell back together. Board that part of you up behind a closet door you won't acknowledge and will not open. We have a strict "no girls allowed" policy. Ignore the girl somewhere inside, suffocating to death. Shut that voice up. Never, ever let her out. Because if you let her out, either you are unsafe and bullied and harassed, or someone dies. That's what always happens. You can't be her. There is no her. She is not a part of you. Just be Jax, the cartoon rabbit. The fictional character. Keep pretending to be him and don't even think about her. You're just Jax, the funny one, nothing more, no changing it. It doesn't matter. None of this is real anyway. She certainly isn't.

This country is a farce and this "trial" is a travesty. They pinned it on a random guy and are slow-walking it as openly and and unapologetically incompetently as possible because they can. "What are you gonna do about it?" At best they steal multiple years from this man's life before he's exonerated, at worst they kill him and rule it a suicide. God Damn America.
