This is an updated version of my Futuristic Rogue Archetypes. I tweaked some of the wording and names, as well as added a max usage on the Plane Walk (Formerly called Plane Shift) ability. Should prove for a more balanced game play experience.
Got VERY inspired in August, heard this song, My Friends by Oh Wonder, and felt I had to make something. This is my first ever animatic, I’m very proud that I completed it! Been working on it evenings and weekends since August, and finally it’s done!
A Critrole + Mollymauk tribute.
Fat Critical Role season 2 spoilers up until you know, Molly..
Hope you like it!
Been working on this for a while now, here is some homebrew rogue subclasses for a futuristic or space based campaign.
Plane Stalker You are becoming one with time and space itself, and are hide yourself in the spaces between worlds. You have mastered the art of stealth to the point where you are now able to slip between planes of existence, becoming completely invisible, and gaining the ability to move into spaces you wouldn't normally be able to reach.
Hacker
Your knowledge of modern technology and the magic that influences it allows you to gain access computer systems and modern devices. You have also learned to harness these magics to influence technology itself.
One point of explanation for the Hacker Subclass. In the world that I am creating for my space DND homebrews, technology was derived from magic itself. Magic did not always exist, but was instead given to mortals as a gift by the gods to protect them from the horrors created by the god Heshal. Eventually, the mortals learned to harness these magics though a substance called Zyx, and use it to power machines and modern technology.
Idea: Community DND World
I was pondering some interesting ideas earlier, and thinking of possibilities for the world I am building for my space campaign (which I will be releasing more content for soon!). I was thinking man, this thing is gonna have to be huge. Not only will it be huge, its gonna have to be detailed as hell to make they worlds feel real. Then I had an interesting thought (not specifically about what I will be doing for my campaign, but just a general cool idea).
Outside the basic world of dnd and people who write for adventurers league, has anyone ever had a community created dnd world before? I think it would be super cool to have sort of a website say if you were doing a space campaign, that had sort of a spider's web, mode tree layout of places, and people could submit new worlds and planets to be added, and lore to build pre existing ones. With the power of the internet, I'm sure you could creat this absurdly in depth universe filled with detailed worlds on a scale that's never been done. I think it would be sort of the ultimate world building expirament, and a place you could come to just be part of a community, and play some really cool dnd with other's creations.
I dunno just food for thought. It would sure be cool, and something I would 100 percent work on developing if I had time from school and my job.

I have been working on some new maps! This is a map of a a small island nation named Sunspear in our current campaign that one of my players, a tiefling princess named Willow, is from.
A small island kingdom on the northern edge of the Drowning Archipelago. Run by the Sunspear family since the collapse, it is a very peaceful, and quiet kingdom of tieflings. Only around 30 000 km squared of land in total, it has a smaller population of around 20000 people total.
The island is comprised of tropical trees, long beaches, and Bellar Tree groves. Bellar trees are very common in the Archipelago, their fruits look not unlike a peach, but the insides are completely liquid and taste of honey.
The island makes most of its income from the export of marble, and has since the collapse. The westmines in Neverfall city produce hundreds of pounds of marble every day, and due to this, the most popular profession on the island is working in this mine, making Neverfall the largest city in the nation. The capital is only around half the size, but it's grandeur does not go unnoticed.
Drew my first real map! This is the continent of Azirynn in my campaign I have been running for a year now. Its not what I would call super fancy, but I’m still proud.

Some rules and suggestions I have been writing around the idea of using or not using bows and arrows in a modern or futuristic setting. I have also included some modernized bow stats and homebrew arrow rules, as well as as range rules for space combat.
Interesting Discussion: Dnd Armies
So, in my current campaign, I may have an opportunity for my characters to fight in a full fledged war, and while the easy way out of having to figure out how to get them to control an army would be to send them on some "special mission" as the battle happens, I would like to experiment with an actual battle. This poses an interesting problem however, how to create mechanics for them to control an army tactically, and fight amidst a battle with some perceived chaos and randomness. The way I was thinking of doing this was having them make charisma checks to will the army onwards, and have a charisma battle between commanders. As far as fight randomness goes, I was thinking of having a mid combat random event system, where they might gain or lose an ally or enemy. Not sure what to add to this system to balance it. I'd be interested to see others thoughts on the matter.

Here’s probably my favorite joke from campaign 2 so far
Sam Riegal you beautiful man
A homebrew background I created for my space dnd 5e homebrew project! Venturers are those who have a burning desire to explore the unknown, a desire that proceeds even personal safety. Despite the fact that people have been exploring the galaxy Zyrus for thousands of years, most of it still remains undocumented. That is where Venturers come in. A profession that requires as much grit as it does brains, Venturers tend to be exceptional people. This is not the type of job for the faint of heart either, it’s many rewards are only matched by it’s many risks. In fact the average lifespan of a Venturer is about 5 years. Despite this fact, people still dream about the day they can leave their home system and take off into the great unknown. Who knows what riches and power can be found beyond the reaches of known society. Who knows what thinks one could accomplish living outside of society, and outside of the law. A job for broken people and dreamers, Venturers are respected and feared by others. They are not to be messed with, and it would be a mistake to stand in the way of their goals, whatever they may be.
