Drawing some Zolo because I love them and needed to draw something to cheer myself up
Their unique body gives them a balancing issue as their ribbons cannot be moved, so Zooble made them a crutch. They also can’t speak (they can but it’s very quiet) or hear without an aid, so their voice is always a tiny bit distorted and yeah they inherited Zooble’s short temper!!
Do I make it canon for them to be born looking like a gloink??
I absolutely adore your fan kid designs, and I've got to say as much as I love them all, Zolo has one of the most *interesting* designs of the 3
The idea of their legs not working as intended due to one being a ribbon and thus they need a crutch to support themselves is so interesting to me
I think the ribbon being too weak compared to the rest of the body would also be an interesting concept for a design too
The fact they can't speak or hear well is also interesting to me and I cant help but wonder how those disabilities come about for an NPC in the digital world
Also don't fret! Mismatch will be attacked! I've just been putting a lot of effort into it + using Digital again
You might just be Zolo’s biggest fan at the moment, because they haven’t had much attention yet!
As for how the disabilities formed- In my AU (after Mishmash is created) Zooble wants to take on the burden of carrying the next one but they physically can’t, so they and Gangle end up asking Caine for help.
Caine does help, but accidentally spawns two in. As Zolo is technically a duplicate in a way, they end up as the lesser dominant twin and therefore aren’t calibrated as well as Jumble is
Neither Gangle nor Zooble understand why Zolo appears to ignore them and doesn’t speak as a young child but they know something is off so once again, I think it makes sense for Caine to step in as an Ai, to help recalibrate them, a fellow Ai/NPC with a device. (Think of trying to watch a YouTube video but the volume is far too low, Caine’s device is how Zolo is able to turn the volume up, but instead of it being YouTube, it’s their hearing and their voice)
It’s the little things that make their quality of life better
Anyway thank you for showing interest and sorry for the little lore dump hehe, I definitely enjoy the idea of their ribbons being weak compared to the rest of them, especially in childhood before they get the care they need
