Speaking in flowers

You are transported back in time and into the body of a young noblewoman in the 1400s. Your parents have married you off to an awful, abusive, rapist husband whom literally no one else would marry despite him being very high nobility because he's that terrible. You successfully produce a baby boy and then plan to murder this man for the good of everyone and yourself. Here is the question: do you think you could murder him in a way that is undetectable to the historical people around you? Note: they aren't stupid, you are the prime suspect as the battered wife AND you can't just say poison. Where are you going to buy poison? Do you know anything about poison actually? NO GOOGLING! You were sent back without a plan!

Edit: to clarify about the poison, you can use poison if you actually know how to identify it, I'm saying you can't just go "Poison!" with no knowledge about poison. Buying it probably means they know that poison and you're caught. Your personal knowledge when you read this post is all you have.

The fic is about someone coming in from the future knowing the story and trying to successfully have a baby in order to stay in control of the household as the wife raising the heir. Very unfortunately, she changes enough that he doesn't end up getting murdered and then she has to try to off him herself. She wants to keep her position and not get caught.

I don't know if I'll post this story, it's very dark. It would require so many warning tags. I just got to the murder part and realized that I, a modern person, had no idea how to knock this guy off without getting caught, even with all my future knowledge! The main character is an actor/dancer, so she's not up on poison unless it's a hobby of hers (I cannot personally identify hemlock or foxglove). I didn't specify a country, just a year, because I was having trouble coming up with anything at all, much less something area specific.

Anyway, this has confirmed my two ideas, which were cause an alcohol-related accident or cause sepsis by infecting a wound. But I'm enjoying reading all the ideas.

Anyway I was bitching about how hard it is to come up with feasible planets in Star Wars because sometimes you need a new planet from scratch and sometimes you need to know more about a planet than the 'has jungles, is probably a moon technically' than Wookieepedia will give you, and they're like 'oh yeah I can do something about that'.

So they've written (in Matlab but they swear it will run as a .exe as well and I may be conscripted to embed it as a web tool at some point) a star system generator.

You input what you know about the planet (ecosystem, population, sun colour, does it have liquid water, does it have a moon or moons, is it a moon or moons, temperature averages, atmosphere, you get me) and it will give you the... everything else about the star system, in obedience to real-universe physics. And if you input nothing you get a randomly generated star system.

And I’m like oh I know people who will be into this with a vengeance, and they're not on Tumblr, so this is me seeing who exactly would be keen on, and I cannot stress this enough, a real-physics comprehensive star system generator.
