Answering your questions, yes, there are going to be multiple chapters and their number has been set for quite a while now. The plot is set too: I know exactly how the comic will go and how it will end but I don't really have it written down except for a few chapters and bits and pieces here and there. Whenever I open the Word file to actually write down all the ideas my brain shuts down so I just memorise the entire thing (I actually remember everything I need down to the visuals) or ramble to TRMD in messages. I'm planning to actually pull myself together and at least do a diagram after finishing the prologue.

When I think about the time needed to finish it I can't help but feel anxious because it's my first time committing to a project this big. Or to any project at all. You're right, I've been cooking the concept and the plot for almost two years before I began properly drawing out the pages. The only reason I didn't start making the comic sooner was because I was hit by an awfully long artblock. Sometimes I get a bit uneasy about people losing interest to the comic due to how I don't talk about the plot much or how long the parts take to come out. Not worrying about it too much and just doing my thing until everything is done helps a lot. The support I get from the community helps a lot too, I'm really grateful for it!

Also sometimes I feel a bit uneasy about dedicating so much time and effort to a fan-project. There's this stupid little worm in my ear reminding me that I have my own stories and concepts and that I could spend all that time and energy on them instead of someone else's characters. And you know what? I've NEVER felt so passionate about something as I am for this comic about silly colorful dudes. I love working on the AU, the plot, the characters, the scenarios. Atp I've put so much of my soul into it I don't even consider it a fan-comic anymore, so yeah, I AM ready to dedicate this much time and effort to it. Art is art, you can't really choose what you get passionate about huh

This entire event is one of the most important moments for many characters in TDAU, especially Felix.

As I see it (and as it's portrayed in TDAU), Felix really wants to be liked by everyone but also he wants to do the right thing. It messes with his head a lot because he is too dependent on what others think about him and he actually wants to be a good person but without having the consequences of making the decisions that are right from the moral standpoint. I believe that his heart is in the right place but he's too impulsive and indulges too much into the idea of being "good" and the appreciation it gets him. I will bring this up later in the comic so I won't talk too much about it, despite Felix's moral dilemma being one of my favorite things to write. I can say tho that him sending everyone to the Card world was probably one of the most efficient ways to deescalate that mess where NO ONE was thinking straight, Felix included. Yes, it was impulsive and not thought through, but I guess that decision tells more about him than whatever he has to say about himself.

I had the idea for this animatic for MONTHS, and while I was thinking of it, you sent me a perfect ask just for the very video I wanted to make! It was a very funny coincidence, thank you for it!

About you're other questions. Yeah, some of the clones were very obviously mad at first. And some just immediately accepted the situation. The isolation of the Card world helped everyone to cool off relatively fast, especially Spade who was on edge the entire time. He did snap at Felix, sure, but he also was extremely agitated after the whole confrontation in the apartment. After taking his time to calm down properly he admitted that he wasn't thinking straight and everything could go to absolute hell if not for Felix's interference, though never out loud. So yeah, Felix still doesn't know Spade is not mad at him anymore. As for Fёdor, he too needed his time to cool off and think about everything. His side of this story will be shown much later in the comic, so I won't talk about it here, sorry ":)

Yeah, I watched both seasons of MSS.

I have somehow mixed feelings about it. Season 1 was kind of a mess, especially the pacing. Season 2 was a HUGE improvement, the difference is DRASTIC. I love how the series portrays emotions and the feelings of loss and grief, I think it did an amazing job with showing the consequences of Elijah's death. At the same time the main storyline makes so many weird decisions I can't help but feel absolutely dumbfounded like half the time. We got this amazing musical number about Diplomator but were never actually explained what he does and why he is so important to the people. I only know about him and his lore bc my friend told me after watching S1. I had to read wiki to learn Dmitry's lore and why he's the way he is, and bro is the main character. Don't even get me started on their plan with the hospital bc WHY would you do it this way?????😭😭😭 While I have some huge "???" moments overall I think the show is great. So far Elijah is my favorite character and his story is done incredibly well. You really do feel all the weight of the tragedy of his death.

So, about the AU!

I've seen a few posts with this concept, mainly a few from Sockhead and one from sc6rl3t. The idea is honestly very cool. I like how in this AU the thought of Fёdor and Elijah being friends just works. Elijah is obviously a huge theater kid with little to no friends and Fёdor is a closed off artistic kid. From my experience, those kinds of people become good friends more often than not. Also the endless possibilities of this AU. Can clones see the ghosts? Can ghosts use magic? Can clones become ghosts if their summoner dies or if they die? Can someone like Cleo read ghosts' minds? If Dima was the one with the cards would his clones see Elijah? Also both Dima and Fёdor now have to keep not one but two secrets like damn💀

I remember how me and @therealmagicdog were playing with this concept once after watching MSS S2. Like "yo what if 13 Cards and MSS are happening in the same world". It was honestly so funny cuz yeah, magic is real, but it's only one dude and his clones who knows it. Yeah, ghosts and the entire afterlife is real but it's only one dude (now two✌️) who knows it. And both of them are not even in the same city lol. I remember how I mixed Shusharik in this multiverse too for the sake of it because just imagine it. Magic is real. Ghosts are real. The entire conspiracy about secret robot organization is real. Also the dog college is a thing. What a world to live in omg i love how messed up it would be. Besides, if you mix up the casts off all three series the universe will probably just collapse, every single one of those people is absolutely insane, even the ones that seem normal from the first glance. Dmitry drank so many energy drinks for the stupidest reason he literally died (and then he made a gun model out of cans). Fёdor summoned all the clones from a weird magic deck without a second thought and then kept them all in the real world. Shurik studies nuclear physics and is in love with a pyromaniac. Atp the only reason they haven't met is bc the universe can't handle their storylines happening at the same place😞✌️

A few small facts about her: - happily married - she is nice, chatty and outgoing but very straightforward so people sometimes confuse it with her being rude - her love for magic comes from her aunt. when she was a kid, she loved listening about it. she especially liked a story about an odd deck of cards that could summon "a few helpers", as her aunt called them. the fortuneteller never said whether the story was real or not - the shop was full of strange stuff when Raya got it, so she spent a lot of time going through it all and wondering what her aunt was even up to - when Fёdor called her and asked to meet and talk about "a very specific card deck the previous owner gave him" and then warned her he will be with a bunch of people who look exactly like him, she thought it was some kind of prank. she immediately rolled with it out of curiosity - after meeting the clones and confirming the magical deck was, in fact, real, she immediately took interest in it and the clones' nature. it's not an everyday occurrence after all!

The sheer number of characters. If the rumors are true, S2 will introduce the queens. It's very VERY cool, don't get me wrong, but with them the show will have 12-14 characters (including Fёdor and Joker). If it's going to have the same number of 10 min episodes (around 8-9), I have no idea how they will handle this many characters AND the Joker subplot with that little screentime on their hands

Giving those characters a room to grow. Or at least show themselves. S1 had a lot of good moments for some characters. For example, ep 7 with Waru. BUT I think I've mentioned before how to me the show often prioritizes showing everyone on screen rather than focus on someone in particular. While the "clones get out of the apartment" plot allows more room both literally and metaphorically, I'm still worried they are going to cling to the "all the clones in one episode" thing. I really hope it won't be the case with how Kuromaku will probably go to uni for Fёdor and Spade will go to work. There's no way these won't be character centered episodes like cmon

There's very little time between the seasons. Season one ended just a year ago. They mentioned in the announcement post how S2 was not planned in advance. They also made Joker Presents which was also finished around 5 months ago. So my question is: where are they going to take the time to make an entire new season??? (A little bit of background to this point. I watched every episode of S1 on Okko - a streaming service where all the episodes were coming out a month before YouTube. Everything was great until the ep 9 which came out VERY unfinished. There was a scene without colors, a few animation errors here and there, but the worst part was an entire scene in Waru's house being completely missing. When I watched it I was left so SO confused because the missing scene was about Joker falling down into the house and finding the heart. I thought it was weird and inconsistent but ok and only later I learned from a friend that it was not, in fact, intended and the scene was added later. Also all the animation errors were fixed after the ep came out on YT. I also learned it from a friend later bc I didn't rewatch it myself. That didn't feel very good.) My point is, I understand how hard it is to make animated shows. Ep 9 left a bad aftertaste bc of the whole fixing afterwards but I'm genuinely impressed how the studio finished this episode anyway. The way it was so unfinished on release left an impression of how it was definitely a lot of work and was probably made in a mad rush, so the fact they managed to make it regardless is amazing. But if that's how they are going to work on S2, then I am VERY concerned for the production team, bc again, a year and a few months is a very limited time to make an entire season. Things like that tend to end with a horrible burn out...

Despite those concerns, I'm actually very hopeful about the new season! I tend to be very critical about a lot of things but I also always try to find joy in everything. These are just my thoughts on the upcoming season since there's not that much to discuss yet. Real glad the series is going strong bc I genuinely like it and want it to success.

So yeah, I'm waiting for August :)
