Malleus isn’t sure if the prefect is coming tonight. Well actually the prefect has to come because their meeting spot is Ramshackle Dorm, their home. So he supposes he’s unsure if the prefect will chat with him tonight.

After all, Malleus knows that they may be exhausted after attending the Fairy Gala and helping steal back the school’s mage stone. He wants to be upset at Crowley for forcing them to do such a dangerous task, but for once Yuu had eagerly agreed to help the headmaster despite the danger of just being a human amongst the fae.

Malleus had told the prefect that not all fae were as civilized as him, and they had simply nodded and said “I know.” He wasn’t sure what to make of that or the prefect in general really.

Yuu had not been afraid of him for even a second. They had been confused certainly as to why there was a man hanging out outside their dorm, but they very quickly insisted he come around more often. An invitation. Malleus found it incredibly amusing that after years of longing for companionship he found it in a magicless human whose mere existence in this world was a fluke.

“Or perhaps it was fate….”he mused to himself before peeking up when he heard footsteps. He disappeared into the shadows and waited for the prefect to arrive.

However, when Yuu finally emerged from the forest, he did not appear before them.

The prefect looked…. beautiful. They had changed into a white robe with silver ivy detailing. And while Professor Crewel’s work was glorious on them, it was not what stunned Malleus into not moving.

Yuu was literally and figuratively glowing. Traces of the golden pixie dust that they had used to blend in with the fae remained and gave them a golden shimmer. But what truly glowed was the look in their eyes. The happiness of a job well done Malleus presumed. After all, Yuu had, (along with the others), pulled off the heist to steal back the mage stone perfectly.

“Tsunotaro? Are you here?”they called out into the shadows, snapping Malleus out of his brief trance.

He teleported in front of the prefect,”I am here Stormcrow.” The dragon fae didn’t manage to get out any more than that before Yuu started rambling about how cool the gala was.

And more specifically, how much fun all the fae were.

“I mean I know they thought I was also a fairy, but they were all so nice and they were so willing to tell me all about their talents! It was so awesome.”

Malleus smiled as his stomach twisted. Which then confused him as he rarely got sick.

“I wish you would have come though. It would have been even more fun.”

His stomach twisted again. Seriously what the hell was going on? He needed to talk to Lilia immediately.

“Well I am glad you enjoyed yourself nonetheless. I’m sure you’re tired after such an impressive heist, so I will allow you to rest.”Malleus quickly said before teleporting back to Diasomnia.
