“Frank Ocean singing "Nikes" without the vocal effects RT for good luck https://t.co/xDcdw9DCUV”
For the past couple of days, the great and powerful Frank Ocean has been trending on Twitter thanks to this angelic clip of the reclusive artist singing “Nikes,” off Blonde. Although some may have hoped it was in connection with the Jill Scott Sex Tape, which after numerous hours of investigation we can confirm isn't real, this clip just makes you feel good.
Pigeons & Planes shared the clip and instantly had fans of the artist in their feelings--clamoring for his return to the stage at Coachella 2023.
Enjoy! Â
Cordae · Album · 2022 · 14 songs.
Cordae has been making his rounds leading up to “From a Birds Eye View” dropping. Like a gift from the musical universe, Cordae delivers on his latest project with assist from artists such as H.E.R., Stevie Wonder, Lil Durk, Gunna, Lil Wayne, Eminem, and more. The bright and talented former YBN rapper stands out and hold his own alongside some of the best. Stand out tracks include the Em featured “Parables,” and the albums opener “Shiloh’s Intro” among others.Â
Youtube and Breezy Nation lit up yesterday when the legendary awe inspiring musician dropped the first visual for his upcoming project Breezy. Now with 2022 upon us, fans are expecting Brown to continue his magic with the uptempo single, “Iffy” off of his upcoming 10th studio opus.
Foreshadowing his return for months via social media, Brown continues to elevate artistically in the visual for Iffy. Directed by Joseph Kahn, Iffy finds Breezy fresh off a heist avoiding capture zipping around LA in a classic American muscle car. After a quick link with a group of young dancers and a fairly coordinated fight sequence, the “I Can Transform Ya” singer returns with a sleek choreographed number alongside a transforming Lamborghini that doubles as his chariot into the night.
With more to come in the future, we expect this is just the start of a string of fire for the 32 year old Virginia native.Â

Time certainly does fly when you’re in a global pandemic! Sheesh, it’s been almost an entire year since our last post. Apologies! With that out of the way, who other than Anderson .Paak and Bruno Mars aka Silk Sonic to bring us back into the mix as we head into the Spring.
A few weeks back, Bruno and Andy P announced a joint project they’d been working on during the pannie. This came as a surprise to most fans because it just seemed like a match made in cocaine heaven. Now, we’re not saying cocaine played apart in any production of this project, but this collab screams a good time.
Booger sugar aside, we’re extremely intrigued at the perfect blend these two musicians exhibit as they pair their signature vocals on the first single Leave the Door Open. Dropped in the early hours of March 5, the track has already been streamed over 2 million times on YouTube and is currently #2 on the video website. Anderson’s raspy lead vocals and Bruno’s silky smooth bridges gives listeners a modern take on the classic big band sound of the 70s. Â
So #UnEditors, we’re going to put this into the universe first. If this first track is any indication on whats to come, 2022 award season is about to be real silky! In short, we need the full Silk Sonic album ASAP! Â
P.S. Did we mention the project is hosted by Bootsy Collins?Â

Little Africa: The Story of Black Wall Street
Forbes recently released a list detailing 10 places in America African-Americans are thriving and living their best lives in 2018 and Tulsa, Oklahoma was not listed or mentioned. Ironically, just about 100 years ago Tulsa’s suburb of Greenwood was a cultural Mecca of Black leadership and excellence. Unfortunately many will not know the story of what was then known as “Little Africa,” and later designated “Black Wall Street.”
By design, Black Wall Street was more of a town than a single street taking root in northern Tulsa. In the early 1900s Tulsa, like much of America, was deeply divided, segregated and plagued with racial inequalities. Chasing the American dream and the hope of riches during the Oklahoma oil boom, black families and black entrepreneurs built the suburb of Greenwood.
This predominantly African-American suburb was a cultural anomaly drenched in black beauty and wealth. Black Wall Street featured businesses, homes, restaurants, theaters, and some of the best schools in the nation where black children were educated to the highest standards. According to research by the NAACP, black dollars stayed in the black community and aided in its wealth. Money would be circulated within Greenwood 36 days of a 100-day cycle as opposed to six hours in today’s Black economy. That basic principle of black-owned and black supported would ultimately lead to the envy of many poor white residents in Tulsa.
Greenwood Community was home to thousands of diverse African-Americans and the events of Tuesday, May 31, 1921 - Wednesday, June 1, 1921, forever changed the direction of this beautiful community. With accusations of alleged sexual assault from a young white woman, white police, deputized white racist, and even the Oklahoma National Guard swarmed Little Africa and obliterated the thriving suburb. Now known as the “Tulsa Race Riot,” domestic terrorism reigned down on the small community for 16 hours as it was defended by black World War I veterans. The Historical Society of Tulsa files suggest when the community was burned down, over 800 people were admitted to surrounding hospitals, an estimated 10,000 were left homeless, 35 city blocks housing 1,256 residences were destroyed, and 600 successful businesses were lost, including 21 restaurants, 30 grocery stores, two movie theaters and a hospital. During what is called one of the worst incidents of racial violence in American history an estimated 300 blacks or more lost their lives and over 6,000 were detained and arrested.
Following the attack residents who lost everything and some still living in tents began rebuilding. Black development again took root and Greenwood reestablished itself as a black Mecca of success well into the following decades. During progressive desegregation of the 1950s and 60s, the once thriving Greenwood community started to decline with blacks exiting for other areas and opportunities.
Black Wall Street will forever serve as another historical example of enterprise and ingenuity in Black culture. In 2017 African-American consumers accounted for 1.5 trillion dollars in the American economy. Imagine if black people as a whole spent that money in our communities, schools, and businesses. Happy Black History Month!

Joyner Lucas spazzed with this visual. For a long time, Will Smith was the coolest guy in the world to me...still is. Recently in Miami, I was able to see the legend at work with Martin Lawrence during the filming of Bad Boys For Life. Def a cool ass moment!Â
Check out Joyner’s visual for Will.
The Kids Are Coming, an album by Tones And I on Spotify
As we’ve all come to find out 2020 is not with the shit...at all! So far this year we’ve been in a pretty abusive relationship with a decade fresh out the chronological womb but as a collective, we’ve been able to gain our bearing.
If you follow #UnEdited on our other platforms, you know that we were slated for a European Tour for much of March and April of 2020. Obviously with Miss. Rona on the move we had to readjust our battle plan and a few of the things we had planned.
This Friday thru Monday the #UnEdited team was set to be in Vienna, Austria where we were scheduled to link up with Tones And I (Toni Watson.) Needless to say, that’s not going down anymore but we still wanted to show the Dance Monkey star some love.
Created by an amazing artist, The Kids Are Coming was one of my favorite projects of 2019. While on vacation in Barcelona last summer, I caught wind of the infectious dance track Dance Monkey and I was immediately hypnotized. Since then the track has spread and is finally growing in popularity in the USA. If you’re in quarantine, like most of the world, take a few minutes to listen and fall in love with Tones And I. Â
Admittedly, I had no clue who Chika was prior to catching an amazing NPR Tiny Desk featuring the 23-year-old Alabama native. Already making waves in the music industry, Chika has already managed to chart on Billboard while still remaining relatively low key. Featured on Jojo’s 2019 song “Sabotage,” Chika has been racking up industry accolades across the board.
With a playful and witty personality on full display, Chika delivered bars over acoustic instrumentals allowing her lyrical prowess to shine bright. After this showing on NPR, we’re excited to follow her development. Chika is hands down our favorite Tiny Desk of 2020. Â
This set included “Industry Games," "Songs About You," "Balencies," "Crown," and "Intro."
While many people around the globe remain in quarantine, an estimated 70,000 people gathered online to view the world premiere of The Weeknd’s Anton Tammi directed music video for “In Your Eyes.”
The official video for In Your Eyes follows The Weeknd’s Friday release of his latest studio album, “After Hours,” which is currently on track to be one of his biggest releases to date with well over 400k units moved since its March 20th release. In Your Eyes serves as a continuation of the end of the After Hours short film the XO crooner dropped a few weeks back.Â
Starring Zaina Miuccia and modeled after a low budget 80s era horror film, In Your Eyes takes a different path than the other visuals from this project. As Abel stalks his would-be victim around town, she runs relentlessly in an effort to escape him but finds it nearly impossible to do so. In an apparent plot twist, Zaina finally faces him and decapitates him and takes his head as her trophy. Seemingly unbothered, her night doesn't end until after a quick trip to the club and a rooftop date with the end of co-star The Weeknd.

Rodeo (feat. Nas), an album by Lil Nas X, Nas on Spotify
Lil Nas X is now a multi-Grammy award-winning artist and it is to be expected after the colossal success of his mega-hit “Old Town Road.” Fresh off of burning down the Grammy stage with, BTS, Billy Ray Cyrus, Diplo, Mason Ramsey, and Nas, Nas X has released much-awaited new material to keep us strapped into our settles.
During his performance, Lil Nas X closed out with a new remix of a fan-favorite track from his 7EP. Initially featuring Cardi B, Nas X dropped his next single “Rodeo” with the cosign of hip-hop heavy-hitter Nas. Although shut out of the Big 4 Categories by “Best New Artist” Billie Eilish, Nas X appeared to not have a single care in the world as he body rolled and enjoyed the moments leading to his epic rolling out of Rodeo.
