And we see how controlling he is and the way she goes along with everything he says and does and for me seeing her break away from that was so satisfying ??

I love this book so much and i love a lot of things about it but I can’t deny one of my absolute favourite things is Addy’s development. Seeing her really come into her own and truly become her own person. Seeing her make decisions for herself and start controlling her own life.

Riding her bike again because it’s something she loves and chopping off and dying her hair because she wants to. I just think it’s so important, watching this insecure girl who never feels good enough really find herself and slowly become more confident.

And I love the fact that at the end of the book she’s the only one who has absolutely no romance in her life. Because it would have been so easy to just put her and TJ together. But no she’s dated Jake for three years, since she was fourteen, still basically a kid and now this point in her life is about focusing on herself. It’s about loving herself.
