OKAY GUYS. but honestly. words can’t describe the relief i felt crossing that line, but this photo does completely. i am done. and i FEEL finished. my career didn’t work out the way i wanted and i accepted that fully for the first time. i was lying on this track thinking “i never have to cry about this sport ever again” … i can slowly but surely fall in love with running on my own terms. my entire world is opening up.

note to self: your worth is not determined by the times you run. an awful workout, an awful race, or an awful season don’t make you an awful person or an awful runner.
