She flailed helplessly, didn’t have enough height to correct herself, and landed heavily on her side. Vision swimming, she watched a cat barrel into the coyote’s flank.
Pumastar stood at the head of the Clan in the gathering night. "Havenpaw. Do you vow to uphold the warrior code? To defend the Clan even at the cost of your own life?"
"I do!"
"Skystripe, has this apprentice learned sufficiently to uphold this vow?"
"She has."
"Havenpaw, BrinkClan honors you for your loyalty. We welcome you as a full warrior, Haventrail!"
As the Clan yowled her new name, Haventrail dug her claws into the soil. Happiness washed over her. For becoming a warrior, yes, but mostly for this. BrinkClan celebrating together, no matter the source for their cheer.
"Congratulations," Dashlake checked their shoulders together on his way to the warriors' den.
"Haventrail! Haventrail!"
Rainspore stopped the kits before they bundled towards her. Gently, she mewed, "Haventrail needs to keep a silent vigil, now. I'm sure she'll be very happy to see us in the morning."
"Aw," the three chorused.
Archkit and Burdockkit trailed after their mother to the nursery while Rindlekit scampered to join Tempestpelt. Skystripe and Pumastar both gave Haventrail a nod before disappearing into their dens, and Haventrail was alone.

Dashlake entered camp on three legs after the next morning's patrol. "Landed a step wrong," he explained to Tempestpelt.
"It looks sprained. We'll have you stay in camp until it's healed."
Dashlake dipped his head to the healer. "Yes, Tempestpelt."
"Rindlekit," Tempestpelt mewed at the sound of paw steps behind him. "Please wait until Dashlake's left to come in."
After he had, Rindlekit bounded up to his father. "How'd you know it was me?"
Tempestpelt licked Rindlekit's head. "I'd know you anywhere."
Rainspore looked up from sharing tongues with Skystripe and Pumastar. "How is it?"
Dashlake flicked his tail. "Tempestpelt wants me to stay in camp until its healed."
Pumastar's whiskers quivered.
"Does he?" Skystripe asked.
Pumastar seemed to waver before coming to a conclusion. "Would one of you wake Haventrail?" he asked as he stood.
Skystripe went to fetch her as Rainspore gathered the kits. "Haventrail," Skystripe nudged the sleeping warrior. "Pumastar wants us."
"E'en me?" she blinked groggily.
"Even you."
Outside, Pumastar called, "Let all BrinkClan gather for a Clan meeting!"

today i redesigned my old character development graphs to make them a lot more accessible and easy to use! i've always wanted a visual resource to build the general outlines of a character's personality, so i tried to create some templates that could be used for tons of different scenarios, no matter what kind of universe your character exists in! these can be filled out in ms paint, with a multiply layer or however you choose - feel free to use and repost them for your ocs, or even use them for canon characters!!!
