Clark & Lex share a hot tub and Clark cooks Lex breakfast at the Metropolis penthouse. A reminder that this Clex-fanfic-in-novel-format is CANON. I'll be posting excerpts bc it's delicious and every once in a while I re-read to get more closely aligned with in-character Clark & Lex dialogue and interiority.

I recently rewatched the pilot episode and this line has been driving me insane. Lex doesn’t suspect much yet so he only thinks Clark is extraordinary because he was kind enough to save him. (Don’t even get me started on how in s7 when Lex is saved from drowning by Kara he refers to her as an angel and says she reminds him of Clark in the same breath).
