I’m not even being pithy here. We have a character that is Going To Become Evil. That is the information we have going in. Then he shows up episode one, he’s kind and hurting and being emotionally abused by his father and the whole town hates him and he keeps trying.

for lex, who's been treated as a freak and an oddity for his baldness for as long as he can remember, i think it'd be hugely meaningful for him to have a partner who not only accepts his baldness but actively finds his bald head a sexy and desirable part of him, something that's part of his attractiveness rather than something that detracts from it

it also plays nicely as a contrast with the widespread headcanon that lex usually hates people touching his head because most people treat his baldness in a weird fetishistic way or are just curious and weird about it, but then he trusts and loves clark so much that he not just allows that kind of touch from him but welcomes it because he knows it's not about that for him

and then from clark's side of things, considering how sexually repressed he was for so long, and his preoccupation with being normal, i like seeing him lose himself in the moment and being sexually free enough to do something that IS a little weird like getting mega horny over licking a guy's bald head and not being, no pun intended, in his head about it. because he's found a partner who truly accepts him and won't judge him for letting his freak flag fly
