1) I read this book in less than an hour and can recite it to you word for word and explain exactly why the author used this kind of symbolism

But, living in the bunker meant you learned a lot about what the legends left out. Like the hotdog pajama pants, and the over-dramatic complaints over a lost board game, and the falling asleep sitting up once ten o’clock hits. There was a lot to Dean Winchester that was so much softer than the stories had allowed. Especially when it came to the angel, but really with any of his family.

So soon enough, the forehead kisses weren’t really out of place.

Late one afternoon, and there was a gaggle of newbies, Jack included, in the library, rapt on Sam lecturing about databases and metadata. Eileen and Cas were at another table, just to the side, translating some Enochian texts (Although, if one were well-versed in ASL, one could tell that their conversation was trending more toward gossiping).

Dean strode in and, without a care that he was interrupting, clapped a hand on his brother’s shoulder. “Grocery run. Anything specific you want?”

Sam only managed to appear disgruntled for a moment, before a smile took his face. “Nah, I put it all on the list.”

Dean nodded, patted his chest pocket to indicate that he had the list, and then stooped a little to drop a brush of a kiss to Sam’s forehead. He moved around the table, and then did the same to Jack. “Be good, kid,” he said and Jack beamed up at him, almost literally glowing at the affection.

Sam continued his lecture but more than a few eyes tracked as Dean moved to the far table. He repeated his question in ASL for Eileen, who answered back that if he wanted to get the fixings for pancakes, she would absolute eat pancakes the next morning. Dean made a big show of rolling his eyes, but then brought up his fist and bobbed it up and down. And then, tipping at the waist, he pressed kiss to Eileen’s forehead.

“Wanna come along, angel?” Dean asked, turning to Cas.

The angel in question had been smiling dreamily as Dean made his rounds. Now, though, he shook his head. “No, thank you. Eileen and I are…doing important work.” 

If Dean caught the smile that Eileen hid behind one hand, he didn’t mention it. Instead he just shrugged, and sang out, “Suit yourself.” Cupping one hand around Cas’s jaw and threading the other through his messy hair, Dean brought his lips to Cas’s forehead. This kiss, though, lingered. Both parties let their eyes flutter shut, and one of Cas’s hands rose to lay over Dean’s.

If one were looking closely, at that moment, one would be able to see the patchy blush that rose across Dean’s cheeks and the bridge of his nose, and that touched the tips of Cas’s ears.

“Back soon,” Dean murmured, before finally letting his hands slip away from Cas’s face.

It was only a spectacle those first few times, though. Soon enough, all the new recruits learned that this was a regular thing. More than regular – anytime Dean left the bunker, whether he would be gone for minutes or days, he laid a soft, certain kiss to the foreheads of his family (Claire included, when she was around).

She basically just compared Holocaust victims to having different political opinions.

I’m Jewish. I really don’t like when someone compares the genocide of 6 million of my people to having a different political opinion! Do you realize how fucked up that is?!

If you absolutely must talk to a medic, deliver your essential medical information to them in one sentence and go back to ‘no comment’ after that. Do not get in a conversation.

Don't. Cops aren't people. They aren't your friends, and they aren't there to protect you. They're the bloodhounds of the state. Every comment is a hint, every question has ulterior motives, and they are just trying to pump your for information.

Summary - Jack Request: You had never really thought about the affection that Jack and you give each other as flirting before, but as soon as your brother points it out, that seems to be all you can think about. Did you like Jack? Did Jack like you?

You didn’t notice the little signs at first. You hadn’t grown up like a normal person. Your family had been dysfunctional at best, and your brothers and father had been the most protective people on the planet. You had never been able to go to social gatherings, hang out with people, do anything that wasn’t … well hunting. 

It was why you didn’t pick up on Jack flirting with you until much later. 

To be honest, you didn’t even think he realized that was what he was doing. When the two of you were near each other, he was always by your side. It was a welcome change from Dean who always felt the need to hover. When Jack was there, it wasn’t like he was hovering, instead it was like … he just wanted to be close to you. 

Then came the sitting beside you. Whenever the two of you went on hunts with Sam and Dean, no matter where you were, whether eating at a restaurant or stuffing fast food down on a crappy motel bed, Jack sat beside you, his knee resting against yours as he asked for your opinion on what to order. That simple bit of affection, though you didn’t consider it as affection at the time, became something you looked forward to every time you ate. 

After a couple of months, you realized you liked it. You liked the way it felt to always have Jack by your side. Your brothers had always made you feel safe, but there was something different about it being Jack. You craved his touch, liked the attention that he gave you, and loved the way he made you feel about yourself. You barely even thought about it when, the next time you two were walking down the street, that you grabbed his hand. It seemed natural. There weren’t any ulterior motives other than you liking the way his touch felt on your skin. 

You didn’t think anything of it until Dean confronted you.

The first person you told was Cas

He was very supportive of you

You accidentally spilled to Jack while baking with him

“What does that mean?”

You explain it to him and he smiles

“I’m glad you chose to share this confidential information with me.”

You teared up (just a little)

Sam walked in on you sobbing your eyes out on the kitchen floor

“Are you okay?” 

You sniffle and decide to tell him then, too

“Ah....thank you for telling me. I’m honored.”

You cry more

And he tells you he’s been thinking, too

Sam comes out as pansexual on the kitchen floor

You smile and embrace him

Now you only had your boyfriend to tell

Sam offers to take Jack and Cas out on a ”hunt” to give you privacy

You sit next to Dean and set the pie you made earlier on the table

He looks up at you quizzically, his brow furrowed

“Is someone dead?”

“No...?”

“Then why do you look so nervous?”

You swallow the nerves

And sit next to him, taking his large hands in yours

“Dean...I’ve been needing to talk to you...”

Now, Dean is confused and kinda scared

He thinks you’re gonna leave him

That you’ve found someone better

And he’s so scared

Cuz he loves you

“Dean.....I....I....I’m, uhm, I’m panromantic and asexual.”

He looks at you and sighs in relief

“I thought you were gonna leave me.”

And you hear the crack in his voice

But he quickly wipes his eyes and clears his throat

“So, panromantic means attraction to all, right? Like, gender plays no part?”

You nod, slightly surprised that he’s taking it so well

He kisses your knuckles

“And asexual means....”

You chew your lip, and say, “No, sex.”

“At all?”

“At all.”

You expect to hear him say it’s over

And that chokes you up

Dean sees this and quickly pulls you onto his lap

He reassures you that he couldn’t leave you

That he loves you so much more than pie

And that you’re completely valid

And if anyone tries to invalidate you, he’d shoot them dead

You cry more

Dean doesn’t like seeing you cry

So he kisses your knuckles

Your nose

Your cheeks

Your forehead 

And finally your lips

And you feel loved

By your family

And by your Dean Winchester
