Ok so you know how a lot of tattoo shops have a deposit you have to put down when you schedule the appointment? I donât like this because Iâm chronically Ill and disabled and I never know when Iâm going to get sick or have a flare up and I feel I shouldnât be penalized for that. Now, a cancellation fee within a certain amount of time or no-show fee is completely different imo and are justified because if I get sick and donât tell them ahead of time enough, then they donât get paid and thatâs a shitty situation. But like, I shouldnât be penalized with a deposit just because Iâm more likely to get sick.
I hope this makes sense and Iâm willing to hear the other side of it because I totally understand it is important for yâall to get paid and make a living.
The way the piercing/tattoo studio I go to does it is you have to give them your credit card info when you schedule so that if you no show, they can charge you, which I think is totally acceptable and accommodating.
