Reading should be for all, & placing another roadblock in their way is a slap in the face.
Guys I genuinely can’t tell if I have dyslexia or some other sort of like reading or word processing disorder or something. Like sometimes when I go to read something out loud I will switch the letters the in the words, like if I’m reading “basilisk” I will say “balisisk” instead. Or instead of saying “ethereal” I will say “erethal”. I have trouble spelling words like “relevant” sometimes. I struggle the most when reading numbers out loud and I often get 89 and 98 confused, even when I’m just speaking because I’m visualizing the number in my mind but still getting the actual order of the numbers confused. Like if I got an 98 on a test and then later was telling someone ab it, I would be thinking about the written “98” and it would confused me on if it’s 98 or 89 still. But I don’t know if this is dyslexia or because I have ADHD because if I really slow myself down to sound things out or think about to spell them, then a lot of the times I can do it, it just takes some effort. But I also feel like I don’t have other symptoms that people with dyslexia have? And like I have symptoms outside of what dyslexia is supposed to be?
Learning Disabilities - Learning disorders are neurologically-based processing problems. These processing problems can interfere with learning basic skills such as reading, writing and/or math. They can also interfere with higher level skills such as organization, time planning, abstract reasoning, long or short term memory and attention.

Any level 2 autistics with learning disabilities who have jobs and what jobs would you recommend?
Questions for those who are learning disabled like me. I want to be more active in fighting for human rights. I’m a minority myself. (Hispanic, disabled, trans, etc. the whole package unfortunately) Yet I have the hardest time with words and comprehension. So, whenever it comes to speaking to representatives or anything of the sorts and understanding how things work when it comes to voting and other paperwork of that regard, I struggle immensely. How do y’all like me do activism? It’s very overwhelming and confusing.
I’d like to note, I have a friend who can help me but that’s about it. Due to personal reasons, I can’t ask my parents or any family members.
When you have learning disabilities, all academia is dark academia.
