And there was that other post where someone dreamt that Obama said “violence for violence is the rule of beasts” like what is it about Obama that makes people come up with such raw fucking dialogue for him

my mother had a dream where he lived in the forest and she had a cigarette with him and he said “to become god is the loneliest achievement of them all” and put it out and walked into the mist and i’ve never fucking forgotten that

I once dreamed that a giant meteor was headed for earth, and the government had set up loudspeakers throughout the cities so Obama could give a final address - I’ll never forget how strangely comforting it was when he said “there are places we’ve never been before. Some of us have never been to the Alps, some of us have never been to Marrakesh. The next life is simply another place we’ve never been before, and we’re all going to go explore it together.” 

I had a dream my family housed the Obamas for a weekend and one morning Obama made us oatmeal for breakfast and, looking at my disappointed face because I don’t like oatmeal, he said “regardless of what we taste, if we eat together, we are happy.”

Once I dreamt that Michelle Obama was running a campaign to give homes to all the feral pigeons and her husband came to my house and gave me a pamphlet that just had a picture of a pigeon on it and he looked me in the eyes and said “who would you be without them?”

This has accumulated like three new stories since I’ve seen it last, what the fuck.  What is it with folks’ Obama dreams?

Oh my god some of these give me chills, this is somehow both hilarious and inspiring

i’m serious ladies, like, at this point, any time you start to write or say “i’m so stupid and useless because i’m clueless when women are flirting with me/don’t know how to flirt with women” you should be taking those words out of your mouth and replacing them with “i live in a society that is actively hostile to women loving women, which has offered me no models for how to pursue these relationships and taught me that my feelings for women are predatory and disgusting”

This. As a femmey girl I knew exactly how I was supposed to dress or act around men even though I did not want to date ANY of them, but what to do around women? Hellllll no…I felt like a poser no matter WHAT I tried to wear…

ive been SAYING this but growing up gay is a traumatic experience in and of itself

like not that anyone asked BUT to expand on this but despite the obvious interactions with homophobia that every gay person is bound to encounter its just like…your family/even some close friends never ~truly~ know who you are or what you’re interested in because the Gay Experience is about protecting your identity/interests before everything else so by the time you grow up even your parents - no matter how accepting they think they are - have absolutely no inkling about who you really are as a person and thats just a super lonely and exhausting way to exist within a family or a social circle broe!
