If you know anything about me at all, you probably know I love Foggy Nelson (and that should be enough to secure your vote, right? ;D). If you don't know anything about me, or Foggy, let me tell you why he deserves to make it to the top of this tournament.
Foggy was first introduced in Daredevil #1 in 1964 - the very first issue of Daredevil ever penned. He and Matt have been best friends and business partners quite literally since their creation. And loving his best friend is one of Foggy's core aspects, one that's lasted through sixty years of ups and downs, of zany superhero antics and multiple faked deaths, of trips to space and hell itself! These two are so inseparable that most alternate Daredevils in the Marvel multiverse also have a Foggy - truly the mold of "frequently bought together, do not separate". Please have a compilation of many (but certainly not all) of their hugs.
Through all that time, Foggy hasn't ever gotten superpowers or become a vigilante - but he's beloved anyway, by fans and other Marvel characters alike. He doesn't need to be upgraded or made more powerful and important; he's already the most important person in the Marvel universe to his best friend.
Being almost aggressively civilian doesn't mean Foggy's necessarily normal, either, though. We are, after all, talking about a guy who pretended to be a gangster and blew cigar smoke in the face of the Kingpin (godspeed "Guts" Nelson, you are a legend).
He's done some pretty crazy stuff over the years, sometimes in the name of protecting his friends, and sometimes in the name of impressing a girl (mood, we've all been there, buddy). He's got a complex inner life that's constantly given importance on the page, including complicated feelings about his best friend being a superhero, severe mommy issues and self-esteem problems, an arc where he survives cancer, and his fair share of relationship troubles. He can be funny, or snarky, but he's not relegated to being the butt of every joke, which is great to see for a fat character.
