Her enlarged thyroid is making breathing difficult, and even simple moments now seem exhausting and painful for her.

My name is Wedad Shadi, I am 15 years old, and I live in Gaza.

We are seven people, living in a torn tent that does not protect us from the cold, the heat, or danger.

My father was injured in the war and can no longer work, and my mother was also injured.

With both of them hurt, the entire responsibility of my family has fallen on me.

My siblings are very young, and my sister Mira is only two years old, and there is no milk for her.

There are nights when we sleep without food, and fear is our only companion.

Each day feels heavier than the one before… hunger, fear, and exhaustion are always with us.

Despite all this pain, I still have a fragile dream.

I dream of becoming a doctor, to save lives one day—if I am allowed to live.

I do not want to die 💔. I want to live. I want to escape Gaza, continue my education, and protect my family.
