the original outline and asoiaf’s original trajectory is still somewhat interesting to ponder to me bc im very sure jaime wouldve been asoiaf’s nihilistic big bad and the main human final villain/antagonist before the others and i think u can still do fun stuff with that trajectory with the skeleton of jaime’s character and backstory, but im especially interested in when exactly he decided to deviate completely with him and what shape he wouldve taken as a villain considering how that bran scene in the first book is written. even there george is making an active effort to make him not come off as comically evil or anything

if it is not an already solidified skeleton do not be afraid to change track and adjust the story as it develops rather than forcing it to adhere to a strict plan. i think it is good to let it grow out of a cage, but just be a very competent and careful gardener lol
