I learned the skate yesterday. Honestly, it was a great lesson in trust. I spent most of the time skating with this little pvc buddy that kept me steady, but after a while I either skated with @ashley_sbongile_haynes or Jesse. Both of them weren’t very stable and it scared me so much, but I had to trust them to keep me safe. It showed me that even though my community may not be 100% stable all of the time, but I can lean on them when I feel unsteady or scared. They will support me as much as they can, giving to me, who isn’t as skilled advice, and just simply celebrating my little victory. So I wanted to do this a day early, I’m not really on insta anymore but I wanted to make a post about this wonderful guy. (Nearly) a year ago we went on a spectacular first date. That’s when we both decided we were all in. What a year this has been. I started attending 3 different ministries, 3 different groups, had an internship, graduated from college, got a part time job in my field, and went to Africa! And this wonderful godly man walked next to me through all of it. Through all of my ups and downs, all the crazy and uncertainties. He’s helped me grow closer to God every day but pushing me to rely on Him fully. He’s pushed me in my field, making me work when I feel like I’m not good enough. He makes sure I know how loved I am, but both him and God. He’s so truly amazing. I love him so much and am so grateful to be able to call him not only my friend, but my boyfriend.
