Z team being jealous of Royd and Blonde Blazer and their ability to make their stubborn dispatcher rest.
Second shift ended already, CoupƩ and Punch up stayed behind to train in peace before retiring for tonight. After about two hours of persistent cardio and some sparring matches they both took a shower and changed into fresh clothes. Leaving the locker room they chatted walking down the hallway towards the elevator when they heard a crash coming from the lab.
"Coop, ya heard tha' too?" - Punch up asked stopping in his tracks and staring at the door.
"Yes. Though i was sure Robert and Royd left for the day."- CoupƩ said quietly, carefully walking around the corner and approaching labs doors. Punch up followed her towards the door, watching as she slid door open carefully and stepped inside, her stance tense and ready for action. If Robert and Royd weren't here then no one else was supposed to be anywhere near labs without one of them.
Temperature in room was lower compared to rest of the building and lights in control room were off, but they were on in assembling area. Coop and Punch up exchanged a look before starting to walk towards the door separating control room from rest of the areas. Peaking around the doorframe Coupe froze putting a hand on Colm's shoulder as well.
Inside Royd tiptoed around the mechasuit trying to put all instruments back into place as quietly as possible which looked quite comical considering mechanics big build. After Royd walked out of view they understood why he was so careful: Robert was passed out in one of the chairs they were testing for mecha suit, blanket was tossed over him, seat reclined, Roberts chunky dog curled up in his owners lap too.
Hammer slipped out of pile in Royd's hands dropping on the floor with loud bang. Royd froze immediately not even breathing as he waited for Robert to settle down again.
"Lad, maybe ya wan' some help with tha'?" - Colm asked, voice measured as he stepped inside dimly lit space. CoupƩ let out a barely hearable hiss of annoyance because stepping into the light as well. She didn't wait for the reply though immediately walking towards the pile of instruments, picking them up and walking towards where Royd was settling them down.
"Aye, why are ya guys still here? And thanks for da help" - Royd said trying to keep his voice down as he focused on organising things back into their places.
"It' no problem, lad. Tell us though, how did ya managed to make Rober' pass ou' like tha'?" - Colm laughed helping Janelle with heavier stuff.
"Aye tha' is just some classi massage functio in da seat"- Royd said with a smirk - "Twenthy minut and bufff asleep, bruddah didn' stood a chance, ya know"
"That' cool, mind if i try it some time?" - Colm asked receiving a thumbs up from the mechanic.
"Are you not planning to wake Robert up? It's getting late, building will be closing soon." - Coupe asked handing the taller men last of the scattered details before taking a step back.
"Ya got it, Coop. Don' wan to wake up da lad, let him sleep, ya know?" - He said taking putting last pieces in the boxes.
"Good idea, what about you, lad" - Colm asked not seeing place where closet of a man could possibly fit in to sleep.
"Aye don' worry, bruddah, i have my ow chair, veryyy comfy. Wud no be the firs' time, ainokea."- Royd shrugged giving them a wide smile. - "Thanks for tha help, ya shoul go rest, see ya tomorrow!"
CoupƩ and Punch up exchanged a glance before solemnly nodding and walking out of the lab.
"Take care, lad!" - Colm said at last before carefully shutting the door behind them.
CoupƩ felt a bit hesitant to leave, knowing Robert was in SDN office but as long as he felt safe enough to sleep in Royd's presence than she'll let it go. For now.
