The problem? I could not remember the name of the ingredient. My phone's insertion point blinked, waiting for – no, demanding – delicious input. If only I could remember the name of this goddamn item! Retreating to my study, I faced one of its many mirrored walls, and focused on the innerspace.

It was a trap! Unable to remember, I roamed the halls of my own private hell for what felt like an eternity. Imaginary civilizations rose, fell, and were lost to the ages. The very universe ground to a halt, stalled, and imploded. I awoke abruptly, and noticed that I had a small nosebleed.

Oh, right. Jalapeños.
