π: λ μ 7μΌμ°¨/ 7 days into my reading streak
Notes from My Desk #1 | 15/6/26
Hi and welcome to my studyblr! I'm Star, and I'm here to record various things in my life, not just the min-maxed academic progress etc.
I'm currently studying 7 courses in 5 subjects (chemistry, social studies, literature, mathematics and English) and I'll include a colour-coded Studies-section to describe my progress in my daily posts. I have 14 courses in total to complete before graduation, so I'm really looking forward to that!
I'm big into journaling, dancing, working out, reading, gaming, music, and languages, and I'm sure I could keep the list going. If you hang around you'll likely learn more.
These past few days I've been working on quite an extensive "bujo" / life tracking system makinf use of old graph notebooks, and I'm glad to say I'm almost on the finishing line with this big idea. It's been a fun way to start the summer, as well.
Highlights: βοΈAlmost finished with my trackers βοΈPicked up Night-Gaunts after procrastinating reading and I'm hooked! βοΈWent on a walk and did some ballet
Tomorrow: β‘οΈfinish the rest of the trackers β‘οΈupdate my study plans for the summer β‘οΈcontinue reading Night-Gaunts
π The early Summer nights pass before I even have a chance to notice.

June is a melancholic month. It's like a long wednesday.

One last final left and oh my god I hate computational chemistry so much π No offence to anyone but this stuff is just so mind numbingly boring I can barely focus on studying it. Experimental chemistry ftw β€οΈβπ©Ή
I'm seeing my thesis supervisor tomorrow with the final version of my poster, and then I'm most likely going to have it printed! It makes me kind of nervous to think about it bc what if it looks good on my laptop screen but not irl π I mean, we're talking A0 here, that thing will be the size of a blanket lol every imperfection will show!

week 23
(full set-up here)
june days of productivity β 16/30
[ 16.06.26 // tuesday ]
i took a week off the challenge but really wanted to track my little steps again, even if some days they will consist of things like "had a delicious apple" and "went outside" :) it's never shameful to rest, especially if you need it!
todayβs little steps:
ate a banana and 3 apricots;
went for a 40-minute walk with the dogs;
mailed the rest of the postcard for the June RR;
finished taking notes for Β§3. Traditional methods of teaching;
read a tiny bit of Π²Π°Π»ΡΠ°ΡΠ± by helena pobyarzhina.
it's already really late so i definitely need to go to bed now~ i have complicated feelings about tomorrow but we'll see. it's good to always be open to all the possibilities a new day can bring!
5.19.2026 β Good morning everyone! On this very misty, cloudy morning I am reviewing last weekβs notes before class tonight. More importantly, I have cancelled my summer Mon/Wed Korean class. π I decided to do this randomly a couple days ago literally around 1 AM, but I feel so much relief now. I realized that with taking that additional class, Iβd be doing Korean 4 nights a week, 2 hours each class, pretty much until mid July, and that might be too much for me, especially when theyβre all quite late. I think I was trying to force feed myself more Korean learning, but really I just need to work on making the effort to study by myself more routinely. It isnβt that hard, but I always push it back. As it is now, Iβll have August off of classes, so I plan to take that time to train myself to self-study, crack open my MANY unused Korean books, and add more stuff to the study blog. I also hope to keep talking with you all and practicing Korean together! Iβm gonna give it my best shot. πͺπ»

Enjoying a free day 'cause my class got canceled for the day. It was the first time I tried an egg sandwich since I was a kid. I hated it one time and never touched it again, but today was different. I gave it another shot and my taste buds have really evolved 'cause I loved it! Plus, it's so easy to make and very filling.
I did a bit of journaling in the morning and finished a show I've been watching. The weather is good. Life is great!

08 June, 2026.
Last week I managed to read 3 books at the same time and finished Don't let the forest in by C.G. Drews. I'm also like 70% into The Hobbit and around 30% into Rhythm of War.
This week, my goal is to finish The Hobbit and start Katabasis by R.F. Kuang. And perhaps I might even start And now back to you if I can. I know I can manage 3 books at a time, but not 4, that's for sure.
I'm also taking my time with annotating and writing my thoughts. I have a reading journal I've been filling up this past week and I'm very happy I've been consistent. I've also gone back to "regular" journaling. I do a mix between just writing my thoughts, junk journaling and commonplacing. I've enjoyed that so far.
This month I'm also getting back into working out. I don't like to work out, but I can see the benefits it has, so I'm pushing through the pain and suffering and getting it done. My goal is to set a base line at home and then get a gym membership, because I still need to wait for my baby to get into daycare.
This week's goals:
Finish The Hobbit
Read Rhythm of War
Start Katabasis
Journal
Workout (x3)
two pages from my notes now that i finished my vasari readthrough π
Bookish adventures in Nashville π
D-1
checking what I know for sure and what I donβt.
funnily enough, we have a section about infoxification and I'm pretty sure I am at that point.
before // after
i haven't been at my weekly writing group in months. i need to lock in. writing fiction by hand has really helped.
