Hi! I'm Jess, I'm 22, and technically I study Liberal Arts and Sciences, but my major (is that what you call it? here we call it "main direction") is in math, so that's what I'm focused on.
Currently trying to get back on track with my studies after recovering from being seriously ill for a year. But I'm slowly making progress!

Day 6 of preparing for the 2026 Bar Exams
June 6, 2026
Woke up at 8:15 am and immediately went to studying after drinking my daily cup of coffee.
Went out on a grocery run at 11am. Redeemed the gift cards I received from my cousin-in-law as her graduation gift. The cashiers were so sweet and helpful.
Went back to studying at around 1am and finished at 10pm. I accumulated a total of 8 hours of studying today, and I am a topic away from finishing the syllabus on Civil Procedure!
Also watched the sunset while I was on study break. It was gorgeous.

Gorgeous morning in the library to review for my last final of the year. Class is machine learning, and my brain is swimming in algorithms.

color-coordinating my genbank file converter with my mango matcha latte... leaving my favorite café after graduation makes me almost as sad as saying goodbye to my friends and professors.

went to the library and later decided to treat myself to a cappuccino and a panini. the barista saw i was starting a book, and he said it was one of his favorites. we ended up chatting about books and he even recommended me one to read after my current read!

Yesterday was my last class with The Not-So-Evil-After-All Professor which was my last specialization class too. Overall this specialization was a waste of time, didn't teach me much (save for this professor's classes), wasn't even proper inorgo, and on top of that I don't like the rest of the group (who doesn't like me either). However, these two or so months with this one professor have been so rewarding and taught me so much that it was worth it to go through everything else. No specialization classes next academic year :D Just one more final tomorrow and I'll be able to focus on other things

My days off got obliterated by some sorta virus I picked up from the hospital. I've spent the entirety of my weekend sick. I work the next couple of days. I wasn't as productive as I'd planned to be but it is what it is. Tasks I've completed: - All my laundry + bed clothes included - Dishes - June's budget - Set up an ENT appt - Set up a sleep study appt - Put together the hammock stand - Opened an investment account - Picked my Weeks planner back up and started using it again - Took my son to the vet

there was a time when i could waste my time living vicariously through someone else’s eyes. their life, their style, i could dive in for hours on end until midnight. my phone screen lit up against the whiteness of my room’s walls, i would watch and study how aesthetic their life seemed to be.
unfortunately i do not have the time to waste time anymore. i have to live through my own eyes, my own aesthetic, my own world.
i’m not sure i like it. ★
