i loved this cafe so very very much that i sat and spontaneously called my childhood best friend sofia and we talked on the phone and laughed after such a long time not speaking because of the years and the distance and me moving from italy to canada but sometimes a place is so beautiful you forget about every bitterness so thank you toronto!

one thing i always do when i travel to big and small cities it could be nyc it could be warsaw it could be that mid-sized city you take the train to for a day trip i always always visit the main university library! they’re usually open to the public and it’s just such a particular way of experiencing a city it’s a way to see architecture no matter if old or new if beautiful or boring and then you also check out the shelves in foreign languages and look at the flyers and posters on their local bulletin boards you take the subway there and sit on benches maybe ask the librarian for their favourite cafe nearby. essential.

also !! love to sit at a library in a city away from home in between things to journal! i did this when i went to nyc i would keep all my receipts from cafes and galleries and markets and bookstores then i would go to the library which was also so beautiful and i would write thoughts i had at the met and i would glue everything into my pocket notebook and i did it today in toronto i ran into a local public library and i stopped to journal as i was waiting for a movie to start. travelling = local library pit stop :v)
