Made in Pakistan is a personal collection that reflects my own experiences with child labor. I began working in production factories in Pakistan at the age of ten. This collection is a portrayal of the pain and trauma that were constant companions during my early years. Through this collection, I express these intense emotions and share a part of my journey from a child laborer to a designer.

I really love the juxtaposition of seeing these characters chilling, because it really does look like they've stepped out of Middle-Earth. They're in full costume and even in full armour, and incredibly high quality, functional costumes and armour at that, and even the ones against a green screen or blue screen have a detailed set around them - look at the stone around Frodo and Sam in the Osgiliath BTS photo! Legolas' layers, Éomer's armour, the buttons down Éowyn's dress and the full Rohirrim tack on the horses...

After seeing things like Avengers BTS where Tony Stark isn't even wearing the full Iron Man suit, it's so lovely to look back at this labour of love. ❤️

love designing outfits but keeping them monotone has always been a struggle for me, so for harrow i focused more on shapes and textures. i like her in structured, top-heavy silhouettes!

there's also a part in htn (the ball dream sequence) about the aunts repurposing her ancestors' old clothes for her so i kept that in mind for some of her outfits...jacket cut and laced back together to become adjustable, ruching to fake more volume or maybe hide holes in tattered thin cloth, etc :')
