Dehyaās Current Situation is Straight up Depressingā¦
Iāve been following the leaks for Dehya for a long time. I remember seeing the sumeru character leak before patch 3.0 and IMMEDIATELY falling for Dehyaās design. But it wasnāt enough to make me pull for her. Not yet at least.
As patch 3.0 and onwards came out, that is when I really started liking Dehya. Not only was her design super pretty and badass, she herself was a badass main character for the sumeru archon quest. I was DEAD SET on pulling herā¦
Until the leaks in 3.4 and her release just yesterday. Instead of staying true to her character and making her a strong and badass character, hoyoverse made her completely unusable in every useful scenario.
She canāt trigger abilities from Yelan, XQ, Beidou, and plenty others during her burst. Her 4 second burst cancels immediately when you jump. She pushes enemies away from her so theyāre harder to hit. And she sadly these arenāt her only problems.
And what does Hoyoverse do to fix this? They threw her on the standard banner.
So what does this mean for the future of Genshin? Hopefully nothing. But it seems like itās the real test of waifu > meta. Is this just to see whether people will still roll for a character whoās considered a āwaifuā even if they are absolutely shit? If so, the future for Genshin doesnāt look fucking good. Not at all.
